But i was vet 2 and they were unvetted. I enjoy penals, but you lose the utility of the conscripts. AT nades, Molotovs, better flanking potential due to OORAH ect. If i was going penal heavy, would 3 penals + 1 con be good? Currently i am going 3 cons, 1 penal, 1 scout car Then use green cover shocks will last quite a while even when being focused fired cus of the light armor just remember to shoot the squad with the lowest health first. Penals have Satchel good for okw trucks & bunkers and ptrs with at satchel which is a deathtrap for elephants Yes 3 penals 1 con would be a good build you can use the conscript to cap while penals engage. The team i was against were both Whermacht, both used the Elite Troops Doctrine commander, both used pure Panzergren bulletins, Both had Jager Light Infantry upgrades on said PanzerGrens. I then decided to get Shock Troops. Nothing happen, my shock troops got absolutely spit roasted by these Panzer Grens. Am i genuinely suprised, How can Panzergrens with Medium/long range rifles beat my armoured shocks in CQB? I did admitedly go Conscript heavy, not penals. Pgrens with g43's are an almost useless upgrade. Use sight blockers and smoke to get as close as you can while minimizing the damage, Shocks Troops should normally rip them apart like piranhas if they get too close, use grenades and avoid their grenades. Always go for penals they are generally better than cons in almost everything and with vet 3 you don't even need a shock troop. TBH In: Red Army Strategies

So true the soviets are supposed to be offensive faction but their medium armor sucks the su 85 is the only non doctrinal armor worth getting but you can't be offensive with the su 85. The t-34 85 should be given a range buff currently its an turreted su-85 with a more shitty range that can only take an extra hit but won't last long in the frontlines. Its a tank too expensive for what it can do. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Ostheer 1v111 May 2019, 07:35 AM Get a commander that can get give you an early game advantage like Mechanized Assault, or Osttruppen. If you had a good early start then your most likely to have the advantage to win the rest of the match. But remember ostheer is probably the slowest faction to tech up. In: Ostheer Strategies

Thread: Storm trooper rework is awful8 May 2019, 06:30 AM Stormtroopers are quite good when upgraded they become formidable at CQC The only problem is the long upgrade time for the smgs(15 seconds) when you spawn them on any ambient building which is quite long if you want to infiltrate quickly(either do capping or just finish off a retreating squad). They're also good at flanking which is what you should do flank an unexpecting weapon team they can finish it off quick just don't flank a blob though. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: OST Grens6 May 2019, 14:32 PM Imo Grens should be removed or replaced by panzergrenadiers as mainline infantry for ostheer like in the first coh, although weak at first they should atleast be better than the current grens and they become better and get abilities to increase their utility as you tech up. I thought axis are supposed to have superior elite infantry but lesser numbers than allied infantry but in its current state grens are just better conscripts but even conscripts now can kill 2 models of pgrens before losing and grens just don't have the numbers (and durability) to survive that long.
