The canister shot seems powerful, however the m8 is outclassed by both the m15 for crowd control or the Stuart as a light tank, which are in most cases just the better choice for their respective roles. Thread: Broken WF AT ensnare ability11 Jul 2014, 07:34 AM +1 The riflemen and Panzerfusilier at nade solutions are comparativly inferior to the other snares in the game. Having a snare against highly mobile units behave the same way as anti infantry nades, seems like an odd design choice. They should either all behave like at nades/fausts or like stickies in coh1. Having them all behave like rifle nades, would cause more early game problems (222, M3 soft counters) than I can imagine In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: US mortar halftrack10 Jul 2014, 23:09 PM I've used in a couple of matches now and was able to keep it alive for the entire game or almost. The furtherst I got was vet 1 with really aggressive play, use of the barrage ability and the phosphorous barrage. The short range, shorter than that of a mortar, and the abysmal accuracy make this unit the worst indirect fire unit in the game. I don't think this is by design or intended. I imagine that there might be a bug in the stats of the unit. In: COH2 Balance

Mr. Someguy pretty much sums it up why they are so good . Fausts have an animation , which needs to be completed afaik. Fausts behave exactly the same, they will follow the target and if that target was to leave the range, it will not break the animation as it did in coh1. This is exactly what Mr. Someguy correctly stated. He hinted at nothing of the sort that there is any similar mechanic in place in coh2. The only thing that was somewhat a caveat that fausts had(/have?) is that there was a slight chance (due to the straight line of the projectile) that it could hit an obstacle in the world. This was however very unlikely to happen. In: COH2 Balance

Hence I have to agree that I don't get why a 240 MP 60 Ammo unit can fight a 360 MP 80 Ammo unit effectively :/ Are you referring to Guards? Thread: Relic: "Every battle tells a story"17 May 2014, 13:00 PM The whole "Every battle tells a story"-theme is somewhat lost in coh2 due to how fast infantry gains vet and how rather insignificant (more so for Soviet infantry) the vet bonuses are. In coh1 if you had a vet 3 rifle, it would break your heart if you lost it or you could hear Ami's disappointment during a SNF when such a unit died. In coh2 you just build a new conscript because it throws that at nade about as good as the vet 3 squad did. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Have been patient enough...where is our balance patch.17 May 2014, 09:26 AM There are only a couple of problems with the game currently (in no particular order). 1) Elefants 2) Isu152s 3) Mines (tellers not dealing damage, too frequent squad wipes of Soviet mines) 4) map balance 5) mg42 could suppress just slightly faster 6) maxims need to transfer to another entity if the carrying entity is shot on retreat just like mg42s 7) half the range of grenades when the unit is suppressed Please note that 5 through 7 are not glaring balance problems. (some other things from cruzzi's imaginary patch notes) In: COH2 Balance
