@Sherlock: I am pretty sure Vet 4 doesn't give the LeIG double shots per autofire salvo, it just doubles the total amount of shots fired during the barrage ability. At least that is my experience from the few times I got it to Vet4. The veterancy description is written in a rather unclear way and I believe that it used to actually give you double shots on autofire, but it must have been ninja changed at some point or something.

You're actually right here, for some reason I recalled one instance where the le ig bugged out and actually shot twice after each other, possibly because of an ending barrage or something, and assumed it was this, but as you correctly stated it just dubbles the shots fired in the barrage.

The LeIG is worse than the Pack Howitzer in almost ever stat, and the barrage is utter garbage.

The 2 stats the pack howie beats the lef is aoe radius and penetration, the last of the two is rather useless if you're trying to kill infantry.

Really the Pack Howitzer isn't useless, it just needs to be used at far to close a range to be effective. It has way more infantry wiping ability than the ISG, but that isn't saying much.

"Far to close range" covers every possible range

Both units have their uses. However the Le ig's autofire gets better with vet (double fire per salvo), while the howie's remains the same. The 50% more damage at vet 5 (hard to reach) also increase it's infantry lethality since it means that the damage drop-off outwards is less or rather the damage done higher. Both units do not get increased range for their autofire at vet 3 despite the tool-tips suggesting as much. The increase is only for their abilities.

What is the accuracy of the sniper rifle though? Thats the question. Also does the rifle take away 70% of the health of a model away, or does it just instakill below 70% while still doing normal damage as the other rifles.

If an entity in a squad goes below 70% health the rifle will snipe them with 100% certainty. There is no accuracy or other rng factor involved.

If you reduce the cost, he needs to be nerf at vet 2-3. He is cheat at these veterancy. Actually he is useless because he cost 500mp at good only at vet 2. But if he cost like 240 mp, he become cheat.

The current veterancy bonuses after the last change are as follows:

vet 1: gains phosporous barrage
vet 2: the barrage (not the autofire) will use heat rounds. The barrage shoots 3 shots. Before the change it used to have it on autofire, this is no longer the case.
vet 3: +33% range to all abilities; -30% recharge on abilities (as far as I could tell, it doesn't get a range increase on the auto attack)

In summation: the howitzer doesn't gain any vet abilities that would improve the auto attack. Finding something to nerf is going to be a bit of a challenge

It is a good unit, albeit maybe overpriced.

Having schrecks on main line infantry is not a good idea as okw clearly demonstrates. I see what you're trying to do: provide a answer to fast m20s, but this seems like the wrong avenue to take.

Lmgs already overperform in my view (sniping mgs and other weapon crews), the proposed change would only make matters worse and would potentially even buff lmg blobs, if they face a lot of units (even if they're microed and not a moved further punishing the player which makes an effort).

I tried this in a very abusive 2v2 (CAS and Luft support) and the only thing it did was shoot down the plane after the strafe or flamedrop with the airplane then crashing and wiping one of my squads

I even used my jackson crew to have it at vet 1. It was also on the same line as my other tanks (not behind somewhere).

It's a rather unreliable counter that potently makes the CAS strafes even more deadly due to the immense damage the crashing plane causes. If the aoe and damage of crashing planes were reduced it might improve the viability of the counter. Or maybe I was just unlucky that all planes only got shot down after they already did what they came for (the map was Semois, a rather small map with short reaction time when it comes to dodging strafes).

I'm all for decals or other cosmetic dlc.

Come to think of it, it would be amazing if you could get skins for vet 2 or vet 3 of a tank. A bit like in coh1 where the appearance of a sherman would change throughout the game. As it stands now only the p4 (maybe I'm forgetting another tank) changes its appearance with vet.

I'd happily pay a bit to have a sherman look like it's been through hell and back with improvised armour (logs, sandbags) or a stug with shrubbery over it when they reach vet 3 and something inbetween for vet 2

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one
