my tanks get stuck on command points, and i don't know how to stop it from happening,i believe thats where 60+% of my tank deaths come from |
late game i choke hard. my early game is so dominant but as soon as the tanks come out, i just forget about moving them correctly, and they always end up getting 2-shotted by paks or some bullshit, unforgiving game, huh. |
From a quick Google search, I can easily find out that you are indeed incorrect, and you've been fed false information.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Company_of_Heroes:_Opposing_Fronts
The designer for the first game was Josh Mosqueira while for CoH2, there were actually 3 designers; Josh Mosqueira, Brian Wood(He was killed by Americans years and years ago, after working on CoH Online and doing work on CoH2) and finally Quinn Duffy.
The team for both of those games have been largely the same; it was after Opposing Fronts that the Relic team began to branch and ultimately split off...not before. Opposing Fronts was literally the exact same game as CoH1, which would mean most of the team that made CoH1 made the expansion as well.
If this still doesn't convince you, then I might have no choice but to install CoH1 and OF again, and take a screenshot of the credits screen; you won't be able to dismiss hard evidence like that.
it's cool, i figured i was wrong. i just hate admitting it, thanks! |
What if I told you that is not truth and you've been lied to?
I mean, go and check credits for vcoh and OF, your mind might blow up.
company of heroes 1 lead designer designer - josh mosqueria
OF and COH2 - quinn duffy
at least that's what i've been told for a long time by many different people, can you prove me wrong? |
One single squad in CoH1 had a negative blobbing modifier, Wehrmacht Pioneers.
All PE units GAINED stats for blobbing together (shared veterancy and with upgrades got stat bonuses as well for every unit nearby)
ALL Brit units GAINED stats for blobbing together near officers (shared veterancy + actual stat bonuses)
PE and Brits were always considered broken and overpowered. (because they're made by different people who designed the original factions and the OF factions, they're the same people that went on to develop COH2 ) But it isn't really 'vCoh' which is just americans and wm. i'm sure you know that, you might've forgotten or something |
everyone who was in the closed beta back in 2012 told relic, HEY RELIC, GIVE US MORE GLOBAL UPGRADES, PLS!
and they didn't listen then. and they won't listen now. we've been telling them for the entire game's release that the game needs more global upgrades... and they'd rather turn the other cheek and implement more broken P2W DOCTRINES |
blob supression should work like this - every unit that is supressed also gives a massive supression debuff to every unit in a small area around it, leading to a domino effect that can easily be countered by spreading your units apart, also add recieved accuracy from COH1 and it should be okay. |
remember when the stug is was so fuckin useless? i never saw one until this patch, relic, wtf. you have like 10 RTS titles to your company name, learn to balence! |
Relic is only give us new Options by spamming more and more pointless commanders. But relic will never Change anything. Relic is like a lazy rock who never moves. The game should have much more Non-Docrinal Units and Upgrades but relic is not interested to make this game more fun.
Ist so idiotic that all the good Units, Upgrades and Options are locked in 10000000 commanders. And 90% of the commanders are so idiotically designed that nobody ever uses them.
i'm still using the default 3 soviet doctrines because the other good ones i have to pay for
Everybody here is suggesting balance changes. Balance changes aren't going to do shit. Sure, they'll mix up the meta for a while, but eventually you're always going to end up with the two or three most optimal unit compositions because the game's tech structure is so linear. The only way to construct a more diverse metagame is to give players more options, and to make those options fundamentally different. Just throwing more units at the problem and making changes to the units that already exists isn't going to change a thing. The game is still going to be linear, the line is just going to be a little bit longer is all.
exactly why the community needs to organize a elite mod for coh2. it seems like the only realistic solution. |
Typing all that in caps makes it look silly, just sayin'.
probably right
