We are looking for the best thirty-two Company of Heroes 2 players available to fight in a competitive series of matches to crown a Grand Champion, you may have heard about it...
Here is a thread where you enter, for glory, for honour, wealth, and for the prospect of raising a trophy in-front of fans live in person at one of the coolest e-sports venues in Europe.
(1) Availability to play. - Be available to play one match a week at weekends set times from 2pm GMT
on the following dates.
(Note: the first round spans four days/ two weekends so we may be able to move some matches around in extreme circumstances however all players must agree.)
(2) Travel to Live Finals. - Be available to travel to England by at latest Friday 30th June and play live in the studio on the 1st July. Travel costs and accommodation will be paid for, or heavily subsidised for finalists - and possibly semi-finalists (for 3rd place playoff).
Players foreign to the UK must be a passport holder or must show that they plan to obtain a passport. Each player must take a photo (or scan) of their passport detail page and send it as an attachment to
redditcoh@gmail.com subject: <playername> passport This will stay confidential and is to prove players are eligible to travel.

Ranking System - Five Step Process
Due to vastly increased prizepool and the fact that there is no decay for inactive players (something that has been found out very recently e.g. Aimstrong’s first game in 18 months got him rank 4 Wehr).
There have been some changes made to the ranking system to make it better. This is a five step process:
Step 1 - Automatch ranking: we will calculate average of highest Axis and highest Allied 1v1 automatch rank, as before. However we will take this and then adjust it using the following steps.
Step 2 A - Tournament history: eight tournament players have gotten to the final stages in multiple tournaments OCF onwards, and therefore already have enough recent history to seed them, they are not required to play in placement matches.
Step 2 B - Placement matches: Other players are invited to compete against three opponents in two games one Axis one Allied, six games total. To judge their performance in tournament conditions and adjust their rank. This will be player-organised times from 8th April until 16th April, the groups will be released once entries close.
Step 3: Provisional seeding: the above is combined to produce a draft tournament seeding list.
Step 4 - Expert consultation: several trusted top level players whose inclusion in the tournament is not in doubt - will be asked to slightly nudge up or nudge down everyone on the provisional seeding based on their knowledge. We will take an average of this to alleviate any bias.
Step 5 – Final seeding: Taking in all the above and weighing it against each other, a final decision and judgement will be made. The overall aim being to try our hardest to ensure the best 32 players are selected from the pack, and to keep the best players away from one another for as long as possible.
Entry close: Friday 7th April 21:00 GMT.
