Thread: Commands tank effects?20 Sep 2013, 17:45 PM Does anyone know what the command tank does in detail? It gives a defensive bonus to units in sector, but what is that? More HP? Received accuracy or perhaps more armor? Is the main gun the same as for a normal PZ4? It looks like a short barrel version so perhaps it's worse against armor? Does it mean that my stugs will be able to eat more SU85 shots? Does anyone have concrete experiences with what it does for your loyal troops? In: Ostheer Strategies
Thread: What if ???20 Sep 2013, 10:16 AM "Island battles" doesn't have to mean storm the beaches style gameplay. It could easily be done in the same way as COH2. Besides, some of the battles were fought on rather large islands(Guadalcanal or Okinawa for instance) and even the smaller engagements like Peleliu or Iwo Jima took place on islands way bigger than the current COH2 maps. Thread: What if ???19 Sep 2013, 13:47 PM The japanese did fight the Soviet army on the asian mainland in the late 30ties and in Manchuria in 1945. But if they were to be included I think a USMC vs Imperial Japan setup has tons of potential. Island battles, air and naval support etc. I Would love to play this. At least if it works like in COH1 then damaged units (with full model count) would have more chance to lose models to crits - hence the great benefit of healing them up. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Grenades16 Sep 2013, 08:06 AM Does anyone know if molotovs have "blast" or if it's all burn DOT damage? Is there initial AOE damage like in a regular HE grenade from guards/shocks/grenadiers etc. It seems to me like there is some, at least often you'll lose a guy from right when the bottle hits. It seems to me that there is an AOE component, they seem to work better against squads that bunch up, so if the grenade strikes close to more models they will take more damage. But i would love to know the rules of thumb as to when they'll do the most damage. In: COH2 Gameplay
