I'm pretty sure he is specifically talking about 1000+ranking. At your level, I don't think Axis is easier. I'm not sure it's harder though. My main 3v3 group (ranked a little worse than you) has a difference of 0.005 in win ratio between Axis and Allies. For as much as people want to complain, the last couple patches have really balanced out Axis and Allies across game modes.
Several patches ago (before the current balance team), I made the following account when I thought the patch was crap:
https://www.coh2.org/ladders/playercard/viewBoard/10/steamid/76561198351144414
I'm pretty sure I couldn't duplicate that with any faction right now.
Oh I know he was talking about 1000+. Was just wondering his perspective on why it would be slanted one way and not the other. I generally play in my own bubble and was just wondering.
I feel like balance is pretty good too. |
LOL, I was gonna post almost the same thing, but was going to call it purgatory. The strange thing about the rankings is that after awhile, it's hard to trust them. When my team of 3 queues as 4v4, we sometimes get people with a ranking of 100 that seem borderline retarded, and sometimes get people with rankings in the 500 to 1000 range that play fine. I think we lost to you and Suora a couple days ago so you're another one that dashed my dreams of mediocrity.
It is 100% purgatory. After a certain point players, I think, care more and more about their rank and are increasingly less inclined to leave. |
I think it's because team games as axis usually culminate in 'build panthers' so the late game is much easier to coordinate with each other than a mix of su85's, cromwells, churchills, jacksons, sextons and priests. All of which have vastly different traits and roles.
A homogeneous force is easier to wield if you simply want to club your enemy to death, which is 99% of 4v4 games.
Plus the panthers armour and speed make it forgiving to play with.
Ah. I have always felt like lower ranked players are more defensive and have a tendency to turtle up and get arty, regardless of faction. |
I mean, you are firmy footed in the 4-digit club, almost a premium member.
So at that level, axis is probably easier.
Why is that?
I'm curious as to why Axis is easier. |
I can't remember seeing any good OKW players put them in buildings. It seems almost counterproductive.
Raketens, as a whole, seem okay right now. I used to hate them, both playing with them and playing against them, just for different reasons.
Unfortunately they can't prioritize vehicles in garrisons so they are likely to waste shots on less than ideal targets |
5th men
cloak
retreat
garrison
Now dont need retreat, or give cloak for all AT guns.
putting raks in garrisons is pointless |
Per model, yes.
Per squad, no.
Thank God smaller squads cost less to reinforce. Who would have ever considered that? Maybe if they were bigger they would cost more and die a little less quickly. |
It's not just about moving DPS. Grenadiers are also much cheaper both in recruitment and reinforcement than both of the units you're citing.
You're not making the point you think you're making.
They actually cost more to reinforce... and if you factor in t1 the cost of the first 2 is as much as the first 2 rifles + build time.
edit : for rifles. I can't remember penal reinforce costs atm |
Minesweeper upgrade is sets repair speed to 1.3. |
