most likely around air support, tanks were easy targets for bombers, Stukas gave victory for Germans against France where their tanks couldnt do anything against those, later the Mericans and british air support were destroying german tank divisions so as it was on eastern front, first luftwaffe did a good job but when soviets rebuilded their air forces, they dominated battlefields.

many people believe that tanks won WW2 am i right? well, thats a big surprise, they didn't. I doubt the Japs had any problems to destroy a simple Sherman, it's just he Japs tank shouldn't fight with them and infantry should do their job.

I don't feel like the Japanese are well suited. If we were doing new factions I'd prefer Italy or Hungary or something.

Why should People prefer These tanks over the german faction with Tigers/Panthers?
All other japanese medium tanks were just prototypes which never saw any combat or just only existed on paper.
I m sorry to say but all These japanese tanks doesn t look very exciting or cool to me.You are not telling me that These Things should match an IS-2/Pershing/ISU-152 or?
Japs rely on infantry, support weapons and light tanks, I'd like to see match up japs vs USSR to show that Japs are powerful. Oh and I forgot to mention, I've played tons of games in MoW:AS1 (it's one of the most realistic WW2 RTS games if you didn't know that) as japs vs USSR and I've destroyed many heavy tanks using only infantry and support weapons |

That said, if it was a US marines vs IJA only expasion, maybe they could make it work, and I would be interested on it, but no way they could balance it vs the regular US army, Brits(with late war european teather equipment) or Soviets...
There is the next Problem the western front armies can also fight against the eastern front armys.Relic said that they want to make mixed Teams to give the Players all Options.Sp that OKW can fight against the soviets and Ostheer against the US Army.
The Idea of a IJA vs US marines only expansion doesn t fit to relics policy in that case.

Dude in the actual game german PGrens with Shrecks and paks getting shred to Pieces by the ISU-152, IS-2, KV-8 or KV-2.If relic would go on with your ideas they would Need to make some "Superman-magically-Japanese-Infantry" that could withstand shots from the ISU-152 and that would be completely unrealistic or relic would Need to nerf all soviet heavy tanks and that would destroy the Balance against the german factions.

Exactly.But in CoH2 there are masses of heavy tanks. 4vs4 maps are full of ISU-152s and IS-2s.If they would make japaneses tanks a Little bit realistic then ISU-152 or IS-2s would shred the japanese tanks with 1 shot to pieces.And the japanese infantry that attack the ISU-152 with mines or something would also get insta wipe killed by the big heavys.So what could a japanese faction do?Nothing.

That's just Relic logic, even for them, main forces in USSR are conscripts, just like USSR never had regular infantry forces |

Japan never really had the need to have heavy tanks because what for? China had no tanks, maybe some light ones, infrastructure in China was also in bad shape, not to mention that China is mostly highlands and mountains, Thailand, India, pacific islands had mostly jungle terrain type, it would be hard to maneuver with heavier tanks, the attack on USA forced Japanese army to create heavier tanks to counter Shermans. Japan main battle tank was Chi-Ha but due to their weak armour and gun, they were overwhelmed by Shermans, that's why in late war japan was able to deplay first tanks that were better than Shermans, Chi-To and Chi-Nu but it was already too late for them to change the tide of war |
