Haven't tested it but the SdKfz 221 feels very comparable to USF WC51 Jeep, though I think it does have (slightly) more armour. I think the tech requirements for the 221 should be identical to the WC51, especially considering that the main attraction of Elite Armour has been nerfed beyond uselessness (Sturmtiger). |
The KT is good. It could maybe use a slight buff to justify its price, but I feel it's far from useless. A lot of people feel the KT is useless and dies to easily, but imo these people are probably mis-using their KT. It's slow and vulnerable, use it to support your Panthers and P4s. It's not a main-line tank, if you charge it forth you will not be able to retreat it when USF Riflemen or SOV Conscripts kill its engine, and start hitting it with AT guns and TDs. |
Inclined to disagree. All the factions feel fairly balanced tbh. Different factions have different strengths, and if you're losing you're probably not playing great, or you're not using the best bits of that faction. Try different build orders, or if you really feel a faction is OP, try playing as that faction.
The factions aren't perfectly balanced, but I feel that skill is a much greater decider than any 'OP' content. |
I'm a bit late here, but the Feursturm doctrine after being reworked is pretty viable against British emplacements. The LeIG with incendiary rounds is in particular rather effective. You can fire and reposition before British mortar pits can return fire, with good micro. |
I don't know how easy it'd be to accomplish, but it'd be a great QoL improvement if the following change could be made:
When people are in a lobby for PvP or PvE automatch, spawn them together on the same side of the map.
Why? Can't you just play on the side you want to?
Well, no. Some people just go the side they spawn on, to the nearest point. Some people ignore your attempts to communicate this in-game ('Hey, Intektor and I are in Teamspeak together, xrandomplayer123x can you please play right?'), and it could be argued that the extra 10% distance you have to run can be significant, especially as people stress the importance of bulletins with seemingly negligible 2% buffs. |
First of all its range was nerfed 2 months ago and that was from 45 to 40. Glancing at the changelog could've told you that. Then there's the fact that most infantry in the game have a sight range of 35.
Edit: Just saw someone else corrected you too. All you need to do is look at relic's changelog
Things like pathfinders can spot it from beyond its range. They have 50 sight range, but that's one of their essential purposes. If your ST got spotted from beyond normal infantry los than something else revealed it.
I wasn't saying that the range of the Sturmtiger had been changed in this latest patch. I was saying that with the ST's current range, the only real way to use it effectively was to conceal it behind a building or other sight blocker, otherwise the unit is only effective against unskilled players.
I can however admit that maybe its range is slightly greater than infantry LoS radius, but not by a significant margin and even then in most situations the unit can be entirely countered with some basic noob-level micro. |
Normal Infantry and tank LoS: 35
ST pre nerf: 45
ST post nerf: 40
I would keep it's pre nerf cost for starter, but it will always remain a cheese unit due to it's nature.
Idk where you're getting your numbers from, I am sure I've had enemy inf spot my ST outside of its firing range and scatter. |
So TL;DR, the Sturmtiger was over-nerfed into uselessness, and needs a buff or buffs in some areas to bring it back to the point of usability. |
