Are people really complaining about the brits? They are def not UP. Even less so OP. What's so wrong with the brits? Can anyone give a valid argument based on some numbers and not "it feels...." about all the OP/UP stuff? |
If you're from Europe, queue around midnight for an automatch. Hilarity ensues as you will MOST likely be paired with 3000+ ranks (eg, winning vs 2 grens with your echelons) |
My recommendation is to just remove the speed boost during combat (or have a very short window during combat and normal effect outside of combat). I never liked relying on the minimap/tacmap to begin with, glancing at unit icons for alerts if they were ambushed or taking huge sudden bursts of dmg (grenades). (Looking at you commandoes and shocks/smg inf hiding behind LOS blockers). By the time you see those units on the minimap it's way way too late and you need to have that unit selected NOW!
EDIT: Also applies to Falls ambushing and them sending you gift baskets to the face. As a general rule, I dislike any mechanic/ability which incentivises blobbing (lol USF) and Radio Silence during combat does that :/
And Pgrens, and pretty much any infantry that has a nuke nade. Unless you're paying attention to that unit, you can kiss 3+ models goodbye with often wipes ( or rifle nade over hedges ) |
I find it amazing how much work went into ignoring all the feedback from beta testers...
The 240Hz monitor problem, the desync problems, worldbuilder, the list goes on... Relic why even go through the effort of beta testing when in the end you are obviously ignoring all the results?
240 Hz is a seldom sight. Why would they go through the trouble of trying to fix it just to please a couple of no lifers? Desync is an issue due to the age of the code (Intel was dominant back then). Worldbuilder is useful and they should have fixed it, that I agree with. |
And I want a bit of money, and I want to graduate this year and I want world peace |
I've had the reverse situation where the AI is wayyy more helpful than the player.
As far as the punishment for leaving goes, maybe no loot points regardless if the game is a win or lose or is that something already a thing that I just haven't noticed?
Other than that, perhaps a deduction of current loot points or inability to join another game right after the one you've left.
Only problem is making the difference between an alt F4 rage quit and a busplat and somebody just tearing out their Internet cable order for losing their connection.
Hard AI is better than 99% of rank 600+ players. Other than that, hard AI is pretty dumb. If it were replaced with expert, then you could easily play with the AI but since it has resource cheat, no matter how dumb it is, it will never happen. |
While you are not wrong, the axis don't really have any other answer to Allied TDs than Elefants and JTs.
Reeally?
Let's see:
OKW: JP4, raketen (especially since they can play aggro and retreat), JT, infantry with any sort of AT
OST: Pak, Panther, Elefant, infantry with any sort of AT.
Puma's can also be used to great effect. Unless the Ally players have unlimited sight and have no fog of war, there really isn't any problem to counter TDs. Not to mention flanking with medium tanks, which is always viable. But I guess some players just want to charge TDs head on and then complain how the range is too large and TDs are OP. I get that |
A serious dose of copium is needed for some people here... |
Thank for the reply, but I have to confess, the culprit was the CPU heatsink was full of dust lol. Its just I only really play COH, and it wasnt an issue until 64 bit started creating a bit more heat which resulted in overheating. My heatsink is a bit of a faff to get to, which is why it went neglected for a while.
CPU idles sub 30 now.
Glad to hear you sorted it out. Generally, the 64 bit update obviously introduced some new and reworked low level code so better CPU utilization (more heat ofc) should be expected, however, almost always, the culprit will be the dried out paste or clogged sinks. |
I have a weird problem since 64 bit. My CPU is overheating after some time playing.
Despite pretty solid spec, high frame rates and a water cooled CPU.
I spectated a 4v4 earlier and CPU didnt go above 50-55 degrees ish.
But when I play 2v2s, at some point my PC will hard reboot, showing higher temps and it doesnt do it with side of case left off.
Cant figure out why overheating when it should handle coh no problem.

32 GB ram.
First of all, test it in the most demanding game you have. If it overheats there, then you need a repaste. If not, then we can discuss the real culprit. |
