Sure let's remove OKW's salvage and give them caches instead.
Problem solved. |
Only "buff" the KT needs is the removal of mutual exclusivity with the Command Panther and SturmTiger.
Yeah...Command Panther + KT combo could make Spec Ops viable again too. I doubt it would be too OP now that the Command Panther is nerfed. |
The point of the JP4 is not to kill stuff but to protect your KT/Tiger from Allied TDs, which it does extremely well. Have fun playing vs Tiger and JP4 combo. It's very hard to stop.
JP4 is actually a very fun unit to use if you know what you are doing. Camo + small target size + 800 HP with good ROF, accuracy and same range as Allied TDs make it very potent.

It's a worst of both worlds tank at the moment, with the anti-infantry performance of an AEC and the anti-tank performance of a T-70.
It has better AT than T70 and better AI than AEC. You are exaggerating IMO. Also T70 can't really be compared to Stuart and AEC because it arrives way later.

I personally don't think the KT needs a buff. It's just Jacksons and SU85 being a bit too good. KT is already very very good vs UKF because even vet 3 FF doesn't have more than 210 penetration and that's just not enough to reliable fight off a well supported KT. Reduce the penetration Jackson and SU85 get with vet and voila the KT would be in a good spot. Also remove ram + IL2 cheese strafe. |
Can we please also looking removing the exclusivity of C. Panther + KT. It is no longer the super unit it once was (nerfed arrival, cost, and aura bonus).
With the KT in an awful spot, combining it with a CP will help bring it back into competition with C Tiger.
Kinda agree. Considering it isn't as good as it used to be and the doctrine is almost completely dead it would make sense to make it possible for OKW to get both. |
Distance_scatter_offset.
What does this value do? |
Are you using the in-game (bugged) values or the theoretical(intended) values published in the patch notes?
I am also pretty sure these stats don't say much about the actual in-game performance because it doesn't take into account cover, elevation, world objects etc.
The KT, for example, is very unreliable in the live game when there is even a hint of elevation or possible world objects that can block the shot. Its shots are often way off-target because of it.
I guess it's because the balance team (forgot) to adjust the distance_scatter_offset when they changed overall scatter values? I don't know what this value does but it could be an explanation for how the KT gun works. |
Hey everyone,
As it’s widely known in the 1v1 community, the King Tiger is currently not in a good spot and is especially overshadowed by the Tiger I. There’s a general consensus that the Königstiger’s lack of mobility is to blame for its current state, so to that end I would like to propose a small change to the KT’s veterancy which would allow it to flourish in the meta with the upcoming CP nerf for the Tiger I.
So current KT vet is:
Vet 1: Spearhead unlock
Vet 2: -20% scatter, 40% weapon rotation, 20% accuracy
Vet 3: Combat Blitz
Vet 4: 30% acc/deceleration
Vet 5: 20% reload
What I would propose is to give the KT blitzkrieg at vet 0. This would be 40 munitions and would work like it does now for about 10 seconds. Then with vet:
Vet 1: Blitzkrieg lasts 15 seconds.
Vet 2: -20% scatter, 40% weapon rotation, 20% accuracy
Vet 3: Spearhead unlock, blitzkrieg costs 20 munitions.
Vet 4: 30% acc/deceleration, blitzkrieg lasts 17 seconds.
Vet 5: 20% reload, blitzkrieg is free.
This would keep the KT’s combat performance the same, give it a vet 0 mobility ability that’s expensive and not efficient, then help it scale with veterancy.
Moving Spearhead to vet 3 would be a massive nerf. Not sure why you would want that? |
Puma, Stuart and AEC are all fine. No need to break something that isn't broken.
Puma is better than the AEC that's true. But the AEC also comes earlier and has a better snare ability to help kill medium tanks and even heavies.
Stuart arrives at the same time of the Luchs and can defend itself with his stun shot against Pumas and P4s and can be used to take down heavier tanks with good flanks and the engine crit ability in combination with Jacksons or AT-guns. The unit is fine. And on top of that it also gets an aim time buff with the next balance patch.
