Any reason he really shouldn't have camo? He's already a weaker version of a commando squad with 4 men instead of 5, and commandos don't really have the RA to be charging around like rangers when they're 35 manpower to reinforce. I like vanguard regiment a lot, but I feel like the airlanding officer is kind of useless if you don't just give him brens and use the squad like a tommy section, but even then it's significantly more expensive to reinforce.
That or just give him rifles and make the squad basically tommies but that's so much more boring IMO. Like who wants to play with or against more infantry sections. |
It was 90 before, 70 now. However, let us say we reduce it to 65, which somehow sounds far more reasonable than 70. The new pricing of 65 is only 15 munitions more than a bazooka, for which you need to tech. 20 munitions is already stretching it. However, the 50 price for bazookas is merely to prevent them from being spammed insanely much if you ask me.
Is a 5 munition difference really that big a deal? I mean, you'll only ever probably be inclined to make one unless you're some rank 2000+ sturm spammer, so that's like drops in the bucket. |

I can't stand how the thing reveals camo'd units too. That mechanic definitely needs to go, regardless of what changes are made to it. |
Fair, yes since everyone gets them. Is it fun? Personally i don't think so. I'd rather all of the loiters be gone in coh3 (besides recon). Or at least make them less impactful
Could be just me though. I understand the rage behind these abilities, but when people pick one to rant on and ignore the others there's clearly something else going on

I'd rather all at loiters get replaced by strafes like in the new soviet airborne commander, even in coh2. Especially p47s cuz those are useless lol. |

It´s the best strat and used often because of it. Just like most Soviet players go T1 into T70 into IS2.
But the problem isn´t just that it´s very strong but also that the alternatives aren´t viable against good opponents. OKW without Stuka gets rekt by support weapon spam especially on maps like Crossing or Rails. But if you want to go T1 into T4 you can´t get a Stuka because teching is too expensive. So why bother with this and not just go Mech into Command Panther?

It's terrible at attacking ground, so it would be a bit self defeating
It's actually just not very good right now though, I would rather build a quad, which costs a bit less fuel and is supressing just as well as the AA HT, easier to micro too
I dunno I think it's pretty good overall. I wish the mgs had better suppression though, since it seems like the cannon does most of it and that thing has a long reload sometimes (or it'll just hit elevation in the terrain and do nothing). |
Lock Volksgrenadier sandbags behind veterancy, that would be a good start to reduce OKW's early game strength.
Why even let them have it at all? I'd say the same about section sandbags and trenches too. IMO no mainlines should be able to build green cover except for conscripts; leave that stuff to engineers. |
Just going to reiterate how useful the 6 pounder's vet 1 ability is. The bonuses seem relatively trivial, but the extra movement speed means that the 6 pounder can actually chase down a lot of snared mediums that the pak cannot.
Of course, as far as the comparison goes, the pak probably could have just TWPd and gotten off as many extra shots, but that does require the pak to have been in position to begin with and isn't really useful against tank that are already snared. Also, IIRC, the 6 pounder's ability is free.
Basically, don't underrate the 6 pounder's vet 1 ability.

Please buy a comet tank and you will NOT kill any infantry. While one tiger tank shell will murder and full squad of British troops. RIDICULOUS!
I have saved games, that I only save because of this reason alone. To show people how AWFUL the game was designed. A game that comes to mind, one game this comet tank didn't move. Just sat there shooting at other German tanks, this Comet tank missed ALL six shots before being killed, SIX times! SIX! One, miss. Two miss. Three miss. Four miss. Five miss. Six miss.!!! Then blew up by two PANZER 4's. Yes PAZER 4's!!!
