I just can't believe what I'm reading sometimes. Ostheer stock light vehicle is a glass cannon and there are players who can use it really well. It has no crew, no smoke and no armour upgrade. It can't lay better version of a teller. I understand people would still say it is OP. Just incredible.
Your argument would make a lot more sense if M20 had a 20mm and had 320hp stock. But it doesn't.
Also, insinuating that Aerafield of all people isn't using his units correctly is a good meme. |
The bigger issue with its use in teamgames is that there's not really anything to harass on most maps, so it's just not good as soon as it gets zoned out by AT and it doesn't really have any other saving graces as far as combat usage goes. At that point its basically just a glorified minelayer and recon, which isn't worth having to backtech for an ATG. |
A) I think infrared actually cannot see through some chemical smokes like WP (I know gas grenade isn't a WP smoke)
B) IR STGs are incredibly good because they negate a large part of cover bonuses. Unless your opponents are A-move blobbing all the time over open ground, they're really useful. |
I don't think they would. It is all about moving camo and a general pattern. Falls would receive the same nerf and all other units running like crazy lategame in camo. Camo with all its types just got a bit out of control in general.
Yeah but falls don't need camo to function properly because they still have DPS past 10m. There's a reason commando stens are really bad at anything outside of minimum range, and that's to force them to use camo. If anything about commandos needs to be nerfed it's the uncounterable light gammon bomb that is just instant death against support teams if the commando user has 2 brain cells. It should be changed to like a flamenade or something like stormtroopers. |
Or you could just, you know, sit outside their range with whatever vehicle you're using. If you get hit you're either being aggressive with your vehicle and his counter is working as intended or you've had a lapse in micro or are engine damaged and its your fault that you got hit. It happens, but there's nothing wrong with it. |
for me prodigy just showed his superior skill and very good usage of this ability that allowed him to kill the tiger, normally it doesnt work that easy, that was actually very lucky that he got perfect timing and positioning to use IL2
btw for me it is also way too expensive for what it offers. you need to waste 300mp 90 fuel and 100munnies... WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, i think cost should be down only to 50 munnies, and the plane arrival takes too long also

Answer? Double BARs.
Also garands. |
You are wrong. Ostheer and Soviet engineers definetly can't have two upgrades at the same time.
On the topic: ability to take off the sweeper exist to save DPS of the SP squad. It's not a real thing for other Engineers Squads, since they have pretty mediocore weapon stats (maybe except british one).
The british engineers are pretty bad too except when you have bolster. |
I agree and have suggested the same thing in the past.
On the other hand from a design point of view MP-40 as stock upgrade for VG would be much better than the atrocity MP-44 are. One would have to choose how many VG would be left with K98 or upgraded and it would create more room for OKW doctrinal units.
As in people would never keep kar98 volks becuase they are objectively worse and would either get doctrinal infantry or give them all mp40s. They'd be like worse pre-7-man conscripts at that point and OKW would have to rely on either cheese or doctrinal infantry more than they already do.
That or you buff the crap out of kar98 volks and they're way too good for their cost. |
Its a 200mp mainline infantry.
They are cheaper then partisans and fight incomparably better, while also scaling decently well into late game with their vet and upgrade.
You can count on osttruppen.
No really, you can.
It has nothing to do with assault or moving, it has everything to do with cover making them the only infantry that doesn't exist until they touch a bush. I think it could be toned down.
Good thing you have two other types of nondoc infantry to use if you need to actually attack something. |
