The OKW overwatch sector assault appears to be about 2x as big as the minimap circle shows. Why that is I don't know but it's a bit annoying. |
I'd like to see more UKF infantry variety because they literally have 2 combat squads in their entire roster. |
Honestly rocket arty doesn't trigger me 1/20th what a howitzer does, and I was under the impression you were talking about howitzers since you mentioned LefH in your first post.
Stuka requires aiming, positioning, and potentially opens you up to getting dived.
Howitzer in base + screen shake non stop for 5 minutes is the garbage I'm referring to, whether it's a LefH or a ML-20.
Lmao +1 |
Yes, its unacceptable for elite sturm pioneers, special assault forces armed with stg44 to not deal with a mainline infantry whether they are in cover or not. Its simply not acceptable for any german such low performance...
Now could you stop going offtopic?
Sturmpios have their own thread currently, go and show your sarcasm overe there.
One could say its unacceptable for elite assault engineers, special assault forces armed with M3a1 grease guns to not deal with a mainline infantry whether they are in cover or not. Its simply not acceptable for any American such low performance... |
I've been playin that game since beta kid, it have never been balanced in 3vs3,4vs4 + format.Axis is far easier to play then Allied and a lot of fun to play with. They have all the nice toys.
Americans are most boring faction and nearly useless on large map, maybe airborne in 4vs4).
Russian and UK are kind of cool and fun. but they don't Axis synergy.
Allies need voice chat to be on the same level of synergy. That's the bug.
Then don't play usf if you feel that way. I personally enjoy usf a lot; even if I do believe there's still plenty to be fixed with it I find it fun still. |
USF literally gets hmgs earlier now if you go lt. L2p. |
I&R Pathfinders had one sniper rifle with a 40% crit threshold. Even at 4 men they kinda suck.
3 man I&R Pathfinders with 0.9 cover accuracy, +50% accuracy First Strike bonus and 75% crit threshold'd probably be pretty good.
They didn't have any snipers IIRC. That's why they sucked so bad.
IMO JLI shouldn't have any close range effectiveness at all. Same goes for pathfinders but to a lesser degree since they don't have 1.15 accuracy and .9 accuracy agaisnt heavy cover with their sniper and a 50% acuracy bonus out of ambush camo and sprint and booby traps and medkits... |
Cav rifles do well against them if you begin the engagement at medium/close range. That means either try to ambush them from behind. sight blockers or use smoke. I find the latter to be fairly effective but that of course needs muni and they’ll usually drop a man off your cav rifles just in the time it takes you to smoke if they use ambush camo (which also means you won’t see him until he opens fire on you). |
I find it annoying to play against but dealing with it is at least doable. Biggest thing to keep in mind is that you can’t take off any pressure at all. If I see a sim city I’ll usually get double leigs or mortars, which, with good micro, would be enough if they don’t go advanced emplacements, but if they do you have to repeatedly barrage while also smoking the bofors (getting hit by attack ground is still infinitely more preferable than auto attack) and hitting it with flames or schrecks or something with your infantry. It’s a pain and a lot more work than should be necessary but without emplacements he probably doesn’t have much of an army outside of some sections (which are strong but not against combined arms as they obviously lack the tools to deal with everything themselves) and engineers and he won’t really be able to use his commander abilities either, putting him at a disadvantage when compared to if he has gone another commander/army composition.
As a Brit player, there’s just much better things to be doing. It’s like how making literally only hmgs and mortars as ost or soviets or whatever can be really annoying and hard to play against, but doesn’t really work, and has much better alternatives. |
That can be done when the upgrade time is low.
When you are effectively hiding 340+ mp doing absolutely nothing as they cost upkeep and popcap you are damaging yourself.
Meanwhile 15 seconds are ridicolous, the squad may as well spawn under enemy fire, upgrade and take cover in building and get to quasi full efficiency anyway.
Good infiltration spawns with stormtroopers still take less time than calling them offmap and waiting for them to walk their ass over to the battlefield and then manually infiltrating them with camp behind enemy lines. The former is still way easier and more efficient than the latter and while you wait you can at least see what’s going on in his lines with the squad. |
