Is a 4-conscript opening not viable against OKW? I was hoping to try that opening in this game but it seems to have been hard countered :/ Try to avoid conscripts vs OKW. Volks out trade cons at every stage of the game so you put yourself down very quickly. T1 into penals and clown car like aera said, or if the map allows it and you're feeling strong you can get a sniper. Maxim spam is also decent vs OKW as well, but I wouldn't put it over penal into clown car. In: Replay Reviews

More importantly though you guys also havn't even brought up RA, which happens to be quite important. Also grens = cons at vet 0 in long range. If you close distance you basically lose the engagement. Volks do tend to roll over cons at all stages till/if PPSHs. In: COH2 Balance

But as for the actual points you made I don't think they're correct, aside from OKW being used less than ostheer. The reason people use Ostheer over OKW is probably because Ostheer is a more complete faction. Couple that with panic puma doctrine and you have endless pressure and tools to deal with anything until you can overwhelm your opponet. As far as factions go though with the current meta I'd say it is more like this: UKF<USF<OKW<OST<SOV And that isn't saying USF and UKF don't have their strong suites, but their faction problems are just so large its just so much more difficult to get a win than building a T70, letting it vet and having 90 sight range or calling in a puma to counter most lights. Thread: Volks are disgustingly good, need toning down.22 Oct 2018, 14:29 PM I expected this thread to be another Axis v Allies fanboy thread but I see people who normally lean towards allies give some reasonable feedback here. I love it. But more importantly lets add to the thread. Say you tone down volks vet a bit so they hit slightly worse. What other crutch units are you supposed to be using? Are you supposed to get more sturmpios? MG34s? Kubels? Volks are not spammed currently just because they can deal with most threats, it's also because what else are you supposed to use? They best solution would be getting obers on the field sooner and tuning their stats accordingly so you don't have to spam 5-6 volks into armor. In: COH2 Balance
