*facepalm*
Have you guys actually read and thought about what I said?
First you would fight versus infantry with infantry, hmg's, mortarts, tanks, basically with your faction. Plus you would have the t-34-85 which is good versus infantry as well as tanks.
Secoundly tank repairs is a way for you to keep your infantry in the frontline longer, assuming you have the muni to spare, and you would be repairing your t-34-85's tanks that are, again, pretty good versus infantry. The AT bombing run is actually pretty good specially versus heavier tanks because those are slower. I actually wouldnt mind if this ability got a buff seeing how it actually relies on player skill to be used to full effect. |
Can't agree with this.
KV1 is not spammable medium like T34/76, Cromwell or Sherman.
It's not heavy hitting medium like E8 or T34/85.
It's not even damage sponde like Churchill, nor has support abilities for infantry like smoke.
Not to mention that it's just 70MP and 15F cheaper than Churchill which is superior in almost every aspect and it's non-doc.
Personaly I can't think of any other tank in the game that would be so, so pointless, with no purpose. KV's price should be raised a bit and then it should be buffed to somewhere areound Churchill's level of sponge damage or leave it as it is, but give it some support abilities. Otherwise there is no point of using it. Most indistinct tank in game.
The kv1 as well as the churchill should be seen as heavy tanks (not because of the gun but the armor) and with that said the sweet spot for the kv1 is to counter medium tanks but be countered by 'heavier' tanks like panthers. This way players would have more reasons to tech to tier 4 and get a panther out. One could say that the churchill is a bit too good for it's price tho. |
It sounds better but still doesn't change the fact that KV1 has no purpose and it's most indistinct tank in game. To give it some purpose I'd add smoke ability or something else to support advancing infantry because it's still way worst than Churchill while being doctrinal and cost only 15F less.
Kv1's purpose is to counter medium tank's because of it's armor but be countered heavier tanks like panther and so on. At least that's what the sweetspot for the kv1 should be.
Maybe the churchill is a bit too good, just saying |
T34/85 is a general unit while this doctrine would need something AT dedicated.
I dont think so, with the t-34-85 tank the commander is still relevant to 1v1's otherwise no one would choose this commander. Having conscripts with assault AT grenades, tank detection, tank repair and a tank AT bombing run isnt enough AT dedicated abilities? |
Na the Conscript AT package is perfect for... Conscripts hunting Armor. Its staying.
I agree, but the fact that you get those without needing to upgrade your infantry with AT grenades makes that same upgrade redundant. |
Actually, this was originally a Ranger Ability for the Arden Assault.
And in real life those bombs were used by the luftwaffe, americans weren't known for using them.
I just think that they would fit the ost luftwaffe doctrine quite well. |
P47s on a Mechanized Doctrine?
Yes, some air support late game. I would rather see some sort of air support than a 76mm sherman or other tank reason being that with this commander there is the potential of saving quite a bit of manpower and thus making fuel cache and going for more than one sherman. This plus combined arms would be a strong combo imo. |
Not a big fan of merged abilities, I dont see the need for that.
The jaeger officer squad feels like a super weird squad tbh, not sure if it's the best of ideas. It would be much better if the assault grens could be buffed and placed in this doctrine.
This is how I think this doctrine should be like:
-G43's
-Model 24 stun grenades
-Assault grenadiers (again, this unit would need to be the buffed)
-Light artillery (I feel like this ability is too expensive for what it does, maybe if it would cost 80muni would be more acceptable)
-Stuka close air support |
So basically this doctrine now has one more thing in it. Why not remove hit the dirt since now the doctrine has the kv1? hit the dirt has something completely different in mind from the ppsh upgraded, why merge them together? I would much rather see the ppsh upgrade give received accuracy bonus instead of hit the dirt... |
Wth... americans using luftwaffe cluster bombs?! Swapping the cluster bombs for the wc51 truck (which has arti) would make a lot more sense.
It would be great if the cluster bombs could be used in the luftwaffe supply doctrine. |
