The two obvious points being that 1. Tommies need cover or a building to achieve their full DPS and 2. The vickers vet 1 requires a garrison of some sort. Since both of these are map dependent the trench is needed to make them worthwhile on all maps. While sandbags can cover part 1, they can also be used by the enemy since brits don't have any engineers to wire off the other side before tier 2. This, to me, only justifies trenches existing, not being unstealable. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Maxim vs OKW issue1 Aug 2016, 15:33 PM Kubels have extremely low dps. Combined with the insanely slow turn speed, you won't force a maxim to retreat even with perfect micro. Not to mention the case when the maxim is in a building. Of course using different units to flank it is a different discussion, but then the Kubel is no better than any other unit. Having said that, the Luchs/leIG are adequate counters imo. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: New to OKW - which commanders and BO's to use31 Jul 2016, 13:23 PM Leig's are probably still your best bet against UKF. The trouble with them is that you need to constantly keep the barrages going otherwise you're giving them time to repair the emplacements. Going mech HQ is a bit risky depending on your fuel situation, but if you have managed to secure enough fuel and deny the enemy their own fuel - which is easier said than done against UKF - the it can work too. If he was foolish enough to go for a mortar pit without denying you the fuel then the luchs can just go around it and harass his base or even kill it easily. I have to say I have not faced UKF that much, so I can't give you much advice here. In: OKW Strategies
