Don't want to see faust added to Volks, makes them too much like all the other infantry.
Remove schreck, add 2x Panzerbusche, buff raketen. Keep the faction unique.
Panzerbuchse would definitely be a good idea and also fit in.

the conscript's main failing at late game is really their dps. They can't contribute any firepower, merely their lives.
the lack of any weapon upgrade really cripple the conscript late game. This is also why people spam maxim for the firepower instead.
Exactly it's like they don't cause any damage at all, honestly Osttruppen vet 3 are way more useful and even cheaper than Cons.
They could also put together the nade upgrades, I mean a soviet player has to spent 40 fuel to even make good use of their already weak basic infantry.
Because Cons are so bad people go for Maxims because otherwise they will most likely lose massive ground early on, especially against OKW, Cons just scale incredibly bad. |
@zarok maybe it's nostalgia, but Prypjat Winter was fairly enjoyable, lots of space to do stuff in the south, I also liked the woods in north, always been a fierce battle, though I agree that the summer version is similar too Rzhev summer, just a huge campy massacre.
I also agree about Gelsenkirchen, really don't like the map, especially the right side of the map is weird, while the left side is extremely beneficial for the north.
About the new community maps : -Chateau is weird, south seems really unbalanced again, favoring the right side, the left barely has operating room and everything is stuck in mud there.
-Hamlet is just like Crossing, but it's incredibly hard to harass important points making it kinda boring to play at times. |
Does anyone else get the same maps over and over again? I get either kolodny ferma or arnhem checkpoint most of the time.
Yes I also noticed that some maps occur way more often than others, might be because of the vetoes though. |

I'd like to talk about the current map pool here, what's your opinion about the general map pool across all game modes at the moment, which ones you wish were gone or back, also, balance issues on some maps.
Personally I think, it's bout time that some changes are made again.
Especially to the 2v2 map pool.
-Semois Winter, should just be 1v1 or removed, a huge clusterfck, unbalanced since the south can just place all their arty on solid ground right in front of their base, covering the whole middle, the north only has a lake of ice and overall way worse positioning options, I mean there is a reason that this map was 1on1 only in vCoH.
-Moscow, this map is in since beta and I'm probably not the only one who is completely sick of it by now, has balance issues as well, you even need two vetoes to not get this map.
-Dusseldorf, interesting map, but seems to be very unpopular, would be better off in custom games.
-Ettelbruck is a bit similar, seems to be vetoed a lot as well.
What I'd like to see back : - Ecliptic Fields remake (was well done and suited the game)
- Eindhoven (minor issues but overall a great map)
- Prypjat (just fun)

Relic already confirmed that they're gonna do something about the Maxim, and it's only right since this unit is just over performing atm.
They might buff Penals general accuracy, which would be nice.
What I'd really like to see though is a Con buff, make them less squishy from the start and give them some nice upgrades, cuz right now, they are close to useless in the late game, except for countering garrisons and snaring vehicles.
They also need to do something about the Tiers, remove the damn Tier lock and put the T34 back in T3 or just buff it in general, just something so the most used tank in WW2 actually appears in the game again. |

Ostheer is one of my most played factions besides USF, but lately it seems that they really struggle against anything except USF.
What I noticed while playing as and against Ost :
-Ostheer usually manages to get a decent field presence in the early game, but this is it, it doesn't help them too much, they don't get significant benefits from a strong field presence, when playing Ost I often feel kinda stuck and at this point it gets easy to push Ost off the map, especially since it's hard to actually lead attacks at a certain point, Ost is forced to dig in but it will most certainly get overrun. Double Ost seems to be an exceptionally weak combo.
Main cause imo :
MP bleed and MP cost of everything is just way too high, Grenadiers are a decent unit and good Ost players can put them to good use but 30MP reinforce is just too high, also 7 pop for a 4 man squad.
Same goes for Pioneers, 200MP seems too much, Sappers are way better.
Ostheer is very depended on munitions, the average mine costs 50ammo, a minefield with warning signs (just why, I'm asking for years now) 60 ammo, it's too expensive imo.
Tech phases, the fuel cost seems okay but what doesn't seem right is the extreme MP cost again, every Tier costs additional 260MP, it slows Ost down extremely and prevents them from getting things that are actually important to stay in the game.
Further,T4 is problematic, it's expensive as heck, the Panther comes so damn late that it just lacks impact, it's a unit you may only actually get in huge team games, otherwise it's just not worth it, you're better off with Tigers.
The problem is that Ostheer struggles to stay in the game with only T3, the P4s value declines constantly, the Cromwell seems slightly better, the Comet outperforms the Panther,as the game goes on, Stugs are very good yes but just as support units, the question is, to support what, except your defense.
As a soviet I usually just get 3 cheap SU76 combined with Guards or Shocks and that's already enough to shut down Ostheer's complete unit arsenal on some maps.
To me it really seems like Ostheer is the weakest faction right now, while playing them it kinda feels like rolling a boulder up a hill, then that damn thing gets stuck and rolls all the way back and straight over your face.
Suggestions welcome, if you make it through this wall of text of course.

Counter Battery is the true problem of this commander imo, you just can't use the counters for the emplacements, and if the Brit is just about a bit skilled you will have no chance breaking through. |

This map was actually really good and pretty too.
Hamlet is just Crossing in the Woods in bigger and more campy, as said, the resources are hard to harass.
Chateau, I don't know, it's okay at best, north side is fairly easy too control with MGs, the south side has some weird building constellation.
I want at least 1 Prypjat back, and 1 Moscow removed, they should also make Semois 1v1 only again. |
