Optimization is abesolutely terrible in this game! Good GPUs and CPUs should be crushing this game and are not.
I also agree BRAD is a toxic/dull/abrasive person to be at the helm of your casts. He reads peoples remarks and simply says "I think that's a L2P issue honestly" or "What's unbalanced to some isn't unbalanced to others".
FINALLY. I named the f'ing Tactical Support Commander and you all voted for it! Thank you! But guess what, they never gave me the commanders like they promised... I had to buy them. Go figure. |

Wow, what an amazing guide. And to the designers of this game, shame on you. You did a terrible job. When this was released the newest Titan could not run it maxed out for 60fps. Poor coding and optimization, lazy company. |

In case of the Calliope its a double effect. On one side it is the fact that it was clearly performing just to well for its price but on the other side it gives a type of unit to USF that this faction is totally missing: rocket artillery/reliable indirect fire. USF always had a problem of late game blob control or fighting fortifications. So Imo the heavy use of Calliope commander points to a flaw in game design. Every faction should have a late game non-doctrinal blob/fortification counter.
This is exactly correct. It was the late game solution to blobs. I you lost to it cuz you didn't know how to hunt tanks that's sad... but hey, axis win again. |
I play Germans too and the calliope sucks, nobody picks it and when they do it does nothing.
Removing its 3rd barrage hurts its effectiveness against static targets, reducing each salvo by 6 rockets also reduces its effectiveness against ALL targets, and removing its crew forces less salvos, more upkeep of REs, and less of more effective units.
Now Axis fanboys can claim all they like, but for people who play all the factions and enjoy them all like me: The Calliope has been severely overnerfed.
Might as well make it function like the Calliope in COH1. I'd rather have 36 (should be more like 48) continuous rockets than 18 rockets fired in 2 salvos.

Calliope sucks now, you have everyone buy the commanders, make them look cool, be effective, and then you wait a while then nerf them to oblivion. I see the tendency. Guess its time to stop buying commanders. Even though I named this one and never got it for free. WP Relic |
I say they add an exit time to every squad that enters buildings. The more units in the squad the longer the exit time. It only makes sense to get each guy out the door, it should take some time.
