The Luchs rush is real. I've always liked OKW as a faction, but the new teching structure kinda breaks the game. It also makes the flak HT and the JPIV pretty useless. JPIV is 40 fuel (~2 minutes if in control of the game) less expensive than a panther, so why buy JPIV anymore? Likewise, why go for med hq when you can rush for mechanized and get the luchs asap? They moved the flak HT to med HQ which was a great idea to promote use of a unit that is hardly ever utilised, but there is zero incentive to get it again since you can just rush for Luchs.
Potential solution, add 2 'tiers' to mech HQ and panzer HQ that are researchable for a price. Lock panther and luchs into these second tiers, to delay the arrival of these units a bit further. |

Just tried some OKW with 0 fuel. Whoop Whoop relic what did you think? Getting MG locked on almost every fucking part with a house. Can't burn them out anymore and thereby losing too much area. Which also makes it harder to get Sws truck ---> tech. Please revert it and make T1 - T2 a bit more expensive in fuelway. lets say 10 more fuel for T1 and 20-25 more fuel on T2? Therefor I still can get my tier structure easier. This would (in my opinion) let the Flak HT and Luch come out later by approx 1-2 mins.

Honestly guys do you know how business works? If the game stops generating revenue then all support stops, no more patches/changes, no more commanders and the servers will eventually go offline.
This game is well and truly beyond its hay day (as in, sales of the game itself will be relatively slow since its 3 years after release) and needs to continue to generate money for relic to justify continuing to support it, or its lights out.
So if you don't want to support the game, or don't like the new content, just don't buy it. |
Agree with Dullahan, 0 fuel starting stagnates the early game forcing only a combo of kubel/volks and sturms for the first 5-6 mins of the game. Creates stale game play - maybe up starting fuel to 15 or 20 - this would still delay luchs sufficiently to allow allies to get out AT |
I have to agree - OKW is easily my most played faction. Kubel has a weird role now, I don't really like the changes to it. The only reason to build it currently is for its suppression, what's its role meant to be now other than to frustrate other players by zipping around the map capping.
100% munitions PLUS shrek cost reduction! Why oh why. Volks only needed a buff to their AI capabilities, not an incentive to blob more shreks. This will heavily punish light vehicle play for allies which will lead to even more infantry blobbing!
The faction flavour was cool - less resources with rewards for better play and unit preservation. This should have been the focus of the changes imo - vet 4 + 5 requirements should have been looked at and tweaked to make the 5 vet system worth while.
That said, there are definitely changes I do like. I like easy access to the flak HT and I think it makes sense to have the Luchs in mechanised BUT it's timing is currently too fast. |

Yes, we definitely need even more features to encourage and dominate the game with LMG spams as well as diminish and punish players using SMG, StG or G43 squads.
Because the current features allowing Rifle blobs to destroy all in their path is fine. |
So we could finally get rid of CQC troops like Assgrens or PPShCons.
Not sure if this is sarcasm (I just assume because this is the internet)? These units should be flankers anyway. Charging CQC troops across open terrain isn't skillful play. |
