All will survive at least two full bursts while in no cover. Pretty sure they normalised the snipers after removing a man from sov one, but I might be wrong. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: moving the soviet sniper flare to vet 022 Dec 2018, 13:15 PM Jump back to quoted post22 Dec 2018, 10:37 AMgbem what do you guys think of moving the soviet sniper flare to vet 0? afaik the soviet sniper is inferior at killing 4 man squads than the ost sniper is at killing 6 man squads... this is understandable as ost is supposed to have the best support weapons... however the soviet sniper simply has no redeemable qualities to it ever since it was nerfed from its original 2 man size and has become vulnerable to lots of battlefield baddies (OP) JLI and the 221 scout car... giving it a vet 0 flare allows the soviet sniper to perform a more utilitarian role to the more combat oriented ostheer sniper... Just like how OST Sniper is vulnerable to WC51, clown car, Bren gun carrier? And I dont understand the logic behind how Soviet sniper is inferior at killing 4 man squads, than Ost killing 6 man squad. You snipe a gren model, and the squad is only 75% effective. You snipe a penis battalion model, and the squad is still 83-84% effective. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: can we now fix soviet T2 please?21 Dec 2018, 19:00 PM Jump back to quoted post21 Dec 2018, 18:51 PMgbem well i dont really find the zis bad tbh...tracking and barrage is useful vs static emplacements MGs and blobs at close range...the point was that its the worst AT gun in the role of an AT gun... and that the rakaten is far superior as a dedicated AT platform than the more multirole zis The raketen have its problem against tanks though, one stray shot and getting it decrewed is one of the most infuriating thing about it. Thread: So people are still okay with Sturmpios?21 Dec 2018, 17:52 PM Never found sturms to be good other than if you manage to intercept lone squads moving from spawn to the front, or if you managed to flank a team weapon. if you are in a firefight with 2 rifles against volks, and a sturm pio flanks, you can usually just switch targets and focus that sturmpioneer down fairly quickly. Thread: Anti Tank Overwatch feedback21 Dec 2018, 14:13 PM Overwhelmingly strong, suicide'ed 2x SU-85 to maintain vision in exchange for killing 2 Elephants and 1 KT before they both died. That became the recurring theme that around where any heavy tank called in wouldn't even be snared, just hit once by SU then arty call in would normally finish them off even as they try to leave circle. At 200 muni, Sov can continue to spam it and deny all heavy tank play. This was a 4v4 though. In: COH2 Balance

IMO that was better balanced considering they're better than paths (who are 290mp) even though jaegers have to buy their sniper rifle. Paths pay out of their ass for "utility", being able to put those "every so useful" relays. (They are made 0 CP rather than 1 though) In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Lets talk about the 76 Shermans19 Dec 2018, 16:51 PM Jump back to quoted post19 Dec 2018, 15:48 PMadamírcz Just tried the revamped mech commander, and damn… best decision ever Particularly these old-new beast really exceeded my expectations The thing is, I only got to enjoy raping infantry and also some OKW HQ buildings (which last like twenty seconds against a pair of vetted 76s), since the opponent decided to stall for a KT (So it aint really a surprise that he lost) So the question is, how good they are against panzers and panthers (armor and penetration wise, guess the overall DPS is likely gonna be huge given the rate of fire) And in which situation should one NOT get these things? I did outnumber a Panther 4 to 1, but it was very reliable. 1 bounced, 3 penned. Next volley it was dead with no bounces. The 76mm is a solid upgrade over the 75mm, and whatever AI performance it lost is more than compensated for by being far nastier against tanks. There is almost no circumstance where the 75mm should be used if 76s are available. This is a non academic, non serious test but rather in-game though. In: US Forces Strategies
