I've watched your Twitch, Intelligence209.
You really aren't very good at the game so I can't say I'm surprised you routinely fail against expensive gimmick strategies in 2v2. |
Kubel and UC both need fuel costs, and the UC needs to not suck as much ass as it does right now.
Pathing improvements would be a godsend. |
I'd like to know what Brit player you're fighting that can afford two mortar pits, a Bofors, and a fighting force capable of screening for them.
You fucked up bad if you're dealing with three emplacements from one guy. |
Brits don't tech grenades because mill bombs are garbage and don't fit the faction at all.
Forcing the cost into tech tiers will just make it harder for Brits to compete, and they are already pretty bad as a faction as it is. Replace mill bomb with a rifle grenade and an AT snare for Tommies and I'd accept it. |
Keep your whining to existing threads. There are already two or three of them. |
Yeah, the suppression on the Vickers is absolute garbage.
You need two Vickers firing at the same squad to reliably pin and that's a 560 manpower investment, not to mention you can't spread your force and take ground since you MUST ALWAYS outnumber the opposition with combined arms.
We have Tommies to screen and do damage. MGs should do their freaking job, and that job is to COUNTER BLOBS. |
Every patch and hot fix makes this game exponentially worse.
I don't think I've ever seen this level of incompetence from a single developer before. |
Kitekaze is full of it, tbh.
Churchill is a wasted investment unless you are using a Crocodile doctrine, and even then it will get penetrated by most AT shots that are aimed in its direction. A Firefly is always an optimal choice against heavy Axis tanks because it has insane pen, Tulip rockets for chunking high-HP vehicles (e.g. Tiger, KT), and can sit in the back while your infantry spot for it. At vet 3 the Firefly's ROF becomes amazing, as well, so you end up with an extremely potent AT weapon that is both mobile and effective.
Comet is a good all-arounder but you have to be careful with it. Also, it can't attack ground or reliably wipe infantry squads like a Pershing can so it isn't as effective against blobs. When pretty much every game includes a panzerschrek blob, I honestly don't see the point in getting a Comet unless you're pressing a clear advantage. |
Brits sucked in COH1 because they were completely reliant on mediocre static positions.
Relic decided to make Brits mediocre again by making them once again reliant on static positions. On the bright side, the emplacements are few in this game and actually do their job well (except for the 17-pounder AT gun).
You can whine about how 'boring' it is to play against Brits, but OKW came first and they are far more cancerous as a faction than UKF ever will be. Not only do they sim city with their tech buildings, they also spam mainline infantry with extremely potent handheld AT weaponry that no other faction can match. UKF doesn't even have a non-doctrinal vehicle snare barring the occasional vet 1 sniper who hasn't perished randomly to the blob.
It's far too late to redesign UKF so get used to putting up with emplacements since the faction's early and mid-game were essentially gutted to make room for them. |
Firefly is just fine. It handles its role admirably and is only ever a bad investment when your opponent is fielding no medium or heavy armor. UKF has plenty of anti-infantry options, but not many AT options, which is why the Firefly picks up the slack. |
