Is there a suggested rate a player should hit the reinforcement button when reinforcing a squad with a dead officer, so that you only pay the officer cost for one model? Like one press per half second or full second? I normally just hammer on the reinforce button as quickly as possible to redirect my attention elsewhere. Thanks! |
Thanks for the suggestion comm_ash! It would actually be my preference that conscripts retain some fragility and a significant mp cost but receive a meaningful weapon upgrade so that they could jockey for position like other infantry squads, but in the absence of that, a human wave will do. My only beef with reserve army is that it does not provide an armored unit to supplement their poor stock options. |
If Relic will not grant Conscripts non-doc weapons upgrades and Ostheer get Ostruppen reinforced for 15 mp each, I would totally love to see Conscripts be reinforced for 15 mp per model to properly fit their role as meat shields with pitiful DPS. Then you could reasonably use Cons as an expendable scouting squad as well as a human wave. |
Oh sweet Jaysus, I had no idea there was now a quad accuracy bonus for LEIG and pack Howie. Did that ninja change come in with the increased suppression patch when they were cranking up all those pretty numbers? I am asking because I also wonder if anyone has an opinion on the performance of these two light arty guns with the ninja accuracy buff, without the suppression bonus. |
Thanks to the staff of COH2.ORG reinvigorating the community! |
At this point I actually would trade the removal of the LEIG for a cheaper stuka because a LEIG shuts down infantry movement constantly; the stuka is comparatively easy to dodge and infrequent. Even this sentiment comes from someone who never liked the stuka's magical perfect line shot. |
Along with the changes that brought us to the current LEIG and Pack Howi suppression values, did either of them get more accurate? Either support gun now misses maybe only 1 out of 4 shots and I don't remember them being this inhumanly precise ever before. |
I agree with Dusty that there should a way to make vehicle abandonment a near certainty but is the only method to make it happen. Early pre-release CoH2 press articles once indicated that heavily damaged enemy tanks (representing popped hatches) could be mounted by your own infantry for a risky but deadly attack to punish unsupported tanks. I'd be happy if a busted hatch critical at below 25% tank health allowed infantry to toss in a grenade or something to cause abandonment. It could take a few seconds for the infantry to pull off, and they'd suffer penalties to recieved accuracy and damage while they're at it. |
One person earlier in this thread talked about using attack ground to destroy an abandoned vehicle, so I want to let anyone who doesn't already know that you can use the attack move command and click on the abandoned vehicle directly to make it a target. This is much more accurate than the other method, assuming that smoke isn't obscuring the wreck.
Personally I like the risk reward of abandoned vehicles but I would prefer that the vehicles would have mandatory criticals on recrew and cost a very small amount of fuel or something to prevent recrewing in a firefight. |
Hello everyone,
I've played both CoH games off and on for a while, as well as lurking around this site since CoH 2 came out. Generally coh2.org a knowledgeable and passionate fanbase as well as deep divisions amongst supporters of some factions, so I preferred to stay out of that. What finally brought me in as a registered member in this community was the enthusiasm generated around here by the OCF tourney (great job guys) and the fact that I finally reached a level in the game where I occasionally run into some of the people who post here in 1v1s. I try to play all factions, but I hate waiting for a game so I usually search as the faction with less people, which has meant for a long time I was used to playing mostly as allies. Since the UKF introduction, however, that has changed a surprising amount. Anyway, I look forward to discussions and games with you all (hopefully civil).
Best wishes. |
