Great you hang in there Gary!
@all power to the noobs. I have been beaten really thausends of times. I just keep em coming |
Unfortunately for you, the majority of the people prefer to watch and/or listen to casters and streamers who show themselves and are native speakers. This holds both cross-game and cross-country.
Well im playing a niche game (rts) an niche title (Coh2) and i prefer niche broadcasting (without cameras). |
With all due respect for TFN, but it is hardly fair to blame Relic for poor success when you do not even cast with a webcam and/or lack English vocabulary.
Tommy is british and Fatal speaks perfect english. I dont like the cameras. Always imagined krebs differently before he started his videos . Only person i nj seeing with camera was inukii and his panda hat in his old days. |
It's unfortunate that anyone ever said that DLC wouldn't affect multiplayer and then DLC did.
This is one of the reasons I don't always share things with you guys, because plans change. I wasn't at Relic when this was said, but I'm sure that at the time it was true.
Things change, though from my understanding this change was already in place before SEGA bought Relic.
The thread goes sidway anyways
Well but why don´t you offer multiplayer passes for a pricing you could live with like 8 EUR a month. And get dedicated Programmers to work of the list of the community. I would have paid this at the beginning without hasitation. Maybe now it is too l8te, but when Coh3 is in prearation or DOW3 allow people "oldschool" RTS Fun.
A monthly fee is still the fairest business model imo

of cource Tommy has a point. He usually has.
Excluding the trip to Vancouver dividing the community. It was a peek for a few who helped the game. I dont understand the Toxic discussion anyways tbh "Boys will be Boys get on with your Life" will be my point. But obviously i am not an insider who knows the behind the curtain stuff.
I dont agree with Tommy`s critic on the optics either. But this a very small point. Tommy and Fatal invested a lot of their life in this game and they did such great things. I really was sad, when they decided to stop their work.
BUT
This thread is supposed to be about the future. i would have loved if relic had an special Esport section in the developer, who take care of the needs, but they obiously dont. i think the game could be a LOT Better, but it probably will never be. Otherwise the points Tommy mentioned would have been fixed already. They never will get fixed.
The thing is, i still like the game and the persons who play it. I dont think, it is healty to fill this thread with the problems we all know there are. Lets just acccept Coh2 as a title for casual gamers an enjoy it.

@noun
@all coh2 fans
as relic and Noun call to action i will fulfill my duty to the community and sponsor 350,00 EUR for a map making contest as a price pool. If there will be more needed and a lot of good participants it could be raised to 500,00 EUR.
Comrades lets support coh2! |
Long story short, he called them "a shitty little company" after SNF was over, based SNF, bashed other casters, bashed CoH2 as a game...
More subtle undertones (relating to the discussion about Idra/Artosis and SC2) would imply that he was only ever in CoH2 and SNF5 in hopes that it would explode into an esport and that he'd skyrocket to easy efame and make a career out of casting.
Anyways, we should stay on topic though. Can PM me or something for more info if you're really curious.
@CieZ yeah well done, make sure nobody ever forgets a slip of faith, and an private Yet unfortunate Diskussion between ami and a friend. Maybe you could sell some t-shirts too. |
hi i would join a tournament for the elderly (30+)
PS: To prove of age lets have a look at the iTunes taste of the player. Maybe there should be a test... |
Relic never assured Ami that no new Commanders would be released during SNF. We specifically said that there would be new one's coming and reached an agreement to lock SNF at the already released Commanders.
ok sorry then, i was misinformed. I still think, that amis wish to promote the game as esport title, and relics different approach to this matter is responsible for a lot of the problems, which led to the outburst..

Hi People,
can you plz try not to blow this thing out of proportion. Ami had a private diskussion with a friend and spit his guts out, so what...?
Of course it would have been better if this wouldnt have been made public. BUT
1)Ami always had his concerns abut coh2 and always expressed it public for example he said numerous times the commander system and the UI was bad and he felt trolled by it. He said a lot of upgrades like smoke needs to go in main game away from commander.. aso
2.Of Course he is a big fan of relic, and of course he was let down (numerous times - no new commander before snf ends and so on) by relic. Of Cource he expected the next big thing after coh but this didnt become true, and he is annoyed to death. I would be too in his place. He put months of hours an hoped for a esport title, which could compete with sc2. But it is evident that relic doesnt concentrate on this.
3. People want the internet fame, but not the work. God forbid that someone who builds sth up over years gets 1-3 Euros an hour for his work. I find this annoying.
4. I dont keep track about the negative posts, but its funny that the persons who feel the community betrayed most, i have never heard. No Caster, mapper aso. What did they do for the community.. noting. But they hold the deepest grudge.
Last but not least, im sure relic or the sponsors will get an email or sth from ami and then the matter is closed as well. There is no alternative to SNF an ami.
Best regards
PS: I know ami didnt do everyting alone, but this thread is about him...
