That makes it more fragile than most support weapons, including AT guns who can't retreat either, but at least get the shield. Leig is the only one in the same boat Last time i checked the AT shield does next to nothing and as I said before 5 men decreeing @ 3 is better than 4 men decreeing @ 2, making it not "extremely fragile" In: COH2 Balance

Are you contending that A) all other factions rely on static HMGs (that have a long tear-down like the MG42) and LMG inf as much as OST and B) all factions face a mortar with a strong AOE and range such as the Pack Howie? That needs to be buffed back to 6 man an the nerfhammer needs to be brought down on a different aspect of the unit My only point about its survivability was that the original claim that it was "extremely fragile" is incorrect. Its not significantly more weak than other weapons. In: COH2 Balance

Point and click delete unit which requires the enemy to mirco all their weapon teams / squads or wipe and counterplay is deep diving flanks with AT. The stuka isnt actually the easiest unit to use, and despite the memes, doesnt actually insta delete everything in its AOE Furthermore there may be a little bit of a difference between an upgrade that comes super early vs late tanks which requires time and fuel. Against explosives, not small arms. Furthermore what explosives is the Pack worrying about? Mortars? OST and OKW's are outclassed. Tanks and rocket arty? Of course those are good against it, but it isnt exactly good design to require 200+ fuel to counter a unit that comes @ 55 fuel In: COH2 Balance

It's basically made Brit emplacements useless. The "Veterancy 5 20% scatter reduction bonus added" is a comparative nerf since in that patch all other mortars got their scatter bonuses at vet 3.
