Yeah that's gonna be a pain in the ass for some players. And how do you communicate this with refs then, that it's impossible to play, postpone the match? :/
I asked this myself last week, and got this answer:
Scott is extremely annoying if more than 1 is on the field cuz it's too durable. Decrease the health from 400 to 320 or 240 and replace the vet 1 smoke with something like more range on smoke barrage. It's just silly how shit your micro can be with this unit yet it survives the craziest situations cuz of 400hp + smoke. (Or players just dont care cuz scott is kinda cheap?)
Then its lethality can stay as it is IMO.
And I'm sorry but I have the feeling people who think scott is fine never played vs top players who got at least 2 scotts... and dont know how infuriating it usually is to play vs that. You literally cant destroy them atm if the enemy's micro is above 5 clicks per minute.
Do not use more than 1 HMG unless you have a commander with camouflage package. The Pathfinders will spot the MG long before they enter its arc of fire.
You gotta spam mainline infantry vs this strat and use cover a lot. Pathfinders suck vs cover. And try to rush light vehicle/ light tank
A shame that this bug is still not fixed, it cost me a game today. AEC command vehicle got abandoned, I built a new one with the intent to get a new command vehicle - even tho I was low on ressources - and realized too late that this stupid bug is still in the game :/
I mean I could rant about how clown car is cheesey or how I repeatedly am using faust and it just doesn't want to fire, but gg none the less. one of the many losses I had that night
Giving QCQ units more DPS (which is the current trend) is the wrong way going about it. These units should be given tools that reduce the bleed from using them. One could have them become more durable/have the cost less to reinforce or use (which already test and worked) active abilities like the "Diversion" in artillery officer.
These tools would allow these unit to be balanced better.
I dont know if this suggestion has been made already, but my idea to revamp assault grenadiers is:
Once battlephase 1 is researched, assault grenadiers have access to a 60mun upgrade which replaces all 5 MP40s with the Sturmpioneer version of the Stg44.
