I wouldn't opposed to allowing garrisoned squad members to shoot out of it. They could always balance it by only allowing 2 models to shoot or something if its too much damage. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: the lost of veterancy and balance...7 Mar 2016, 03:23 AM Personally, I think its an artificial balance. The lack of Vet means both players more or less have an equal chance to win because squad wipes mean a lot less and its easier to come back after a set-back. Its probably masking a lot of other imbalances that may exist. Personally I'd much rather be rewarded for unit preservation and need to rebalance some units than punish skilled play by giving players mulligans with fresh Vet 0 Units performing as good as yours (barring lost Upgrades). Thread: HOW is the faust now fixed YET!!!!4 Mar 2016, 20:29 PM I think its mostly an animation issue where the ability fires instantly when the Gren is in range but the animation take a while to catch up. It IS possible for fausts to snag on cover but its pretty rare. Frankly its better this way because at least this way you can get some distance on your tank before the damaged engine procs. Anything else would mean nerfing snares, which isn't really worth it just to eliminate goofy snare visuals. If you want to dodge fausts then don't get in range in the first place In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Axis blob (3+) destroy Maxim from front.4 Mar 2016, 18:25 PM Ehhh it sounds like you aren't using Maxims correctly. You lose out if you are playing static with them trying to use them as blob control like a MG42. Maxims are best used A-Moving around supporting Infantry. Either way, 3 Infantry should beat a single Maxim we don't want super Maxims insta-pinning multiple squads.. Maxim death-loop and flame grenades ARE a problem though. In: COH2 Gameplay

Squad preservation will be more key than ever. Wouldn't it be hilarious if Penals turned out to secretly OP all along? Keep in mind they never got their 60% total Accuracy bonus at Vet 3... Thread: Small arm fire improving "point blank" mechanism4 Mar 2016, 14:27 PM Is there any balance reason why the "point blank" rule doesn't affect garrisons? I kind of feel like they should make it apply to garrisons as well to discourage building camping on certain maps like Semosisky where the point blank green cover can really screw you over if you aren't the one in the garrison. That being said its kind of nice knowing about the point blank green cover thing to abuse it against opponents who waste time getting into green cover on the opposite side of the same sandbags you are using and such.
