AEC's timing is slower than 222 as far as I think. sniper-gren-gren-T2-222 build will be counter the vickers UC. I mean, should I play super defensively until the AEC will come? Pretty much I think that's the idea. You want to minimize the MP bleed inflicted by the Sniper until you can get the proper counters out yourself. You don't want to bother with Vickers UC (at least until Patch comes since the default gun is better DPS wise) - just use the UC to occupy his Grens and soak damage. Conversely you use your Tommys and Vickers to cap around the Sniper and hold your fuel to get the eventual AEC. Somewhere along there you get your own Sniper and the counter-snipe war begins. That's probably the most efficient way to go about it unless you can catch the Sniper in a bad position (which you almost never will against any player worth his salt). One thing to keep in mind is that even damaging the Sniper in an early engagement can be a big win for you as it forces the OStheer player to either 1. Waste resources/time on a super early Med bunker 2. Be much more conservative with his hurt sniper - limiting its usefulness in the early game In: Strategy Desk
Thread: Rebalancing the Stuka Dive Bomb13 Jun 2016, 15:34 PM a stat based, detailed post and all they can say is: +1000 Really the screenshots say it all - Stuka Bomb is a steal for 160 Muni compared to similarly priced/more expensive off-maps. Especially when you consider that most offmaps have some scatter aspect that lessens their lethality to a degree (plus flares) whereas Stuka Bomb has pin-point accuracy. Heck even in Cruzz's post following that patch he made a point of specifically saying what a huge buff it was. Slightly reducing the AoE and/or removing the insta-kill crit won't change the Stuka Bomb's role as a (relatively inexpensive) pinpoint off map that can nuke support weapons and FRPs. It just means that if your opponent doesn't get overly punished if they barely dodge it in time and get hit by the outer edges of the current AoE (which MrSmith has shown to be rather large) In: COH2 Balance

A short way to say it is that there is a difference between blobbing (used in the negative connotation) and "force concentration" where it makes sense to have several units close together to overwhelm a position or hold a key point. The key difference to me is that player who uses force concentration is able to maintain squad spacing/micro in general and uses it situationally. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Tiger Tank Mindset10 Jun 2016, 18:26 PM +1 to Hector I treat it sort of like a "Churchill that actually works", I use it to soak fire so that StuGs can take out tanks or to cover a push. If I think the other team is sufficiently worn down (IE no AT wall) I'll use it as a spearhead to finish off support weapons. Generally I find that you tailor your strategy to your opponents armor composition - if your opponent has a lot of mediums you can't push too recklessly or else you get swarmed. Thread: Howitzers8 Jun 2016, 18:23 PM If there is anything that the ISG-fest patch taught us it should be that suppression on artillery is goddamn cancer. It might make sense for B4 due to it being a single shot and at least compensates you for being the RNG cannon that it is, that is the suppression compensates you for near hits. Anything else just results in giant suppression no-go zones due to the high scatter (not to mention endless suppression in your base in 1v1). Miragefla has it pretty good in his mod IMO 1. Reduce MP cost and offset with token fuel cost to make it more cost efficient 2. Prevent howitzers from being one-shotted by off-maps. In: COH2 Gameplay

Can't say, that they are so good, that I could exchange really needed support guns to "little better version of cons", snipers and trashy car. Give to Penals early AT, like PTRS pack - will use them. You do realize there isn't a law saying that you can't Tech both Special Rifle and Support Weapons right? Thread: Conscripts - when being a looser is your fate6 Jun 2016, 19:14 PM I won't lie that I don't find Conscripts annoying to use in the early game at times (particularly against Volks spam) but they aren't nearly as bad as you make them out to be. A) Rate of Rife - You don't take into account that 6 man squads necessitate lower RoF and Accuracy - otherwise full health Cons are too good. It balances out because they do the same damage as Grens, who have less models firing but more accurately. They also do more damage per shot than Volks or Rifleman. Yes the lower accuracy is more RNG-y but its the only way to balance 6 models. 6 Models also means they get a lot more out of Vet bonuses. B) You don't take into account Total Received Accuracy with Vet when talking about survivability. Combined with 6 models they are way more survivable at Vet 3 compared to Axis, nevermind their ability to use Sandbags vs. Ostheer. .80 Target size with 6 models is sheer madness. Scipt 40% Gren 23% Volks 20% C) Firepower - You ignore the sheer utility of conscripts - Green Cover, Merge, Oorah, Garrison/Cover denial w/ Molotov, Best AT Nade of Allies if not game (after Preview Buff). PPSHs are quite good, even if doctrinal and often synergize well with the doctrine they are in for heavy conscript play. Molotovs are hardly expensive when you consider the cost of BP1 or OKW Truck - they are also cheaper to use once unlocked. If you aren't using Conscipts effectively consider 1. Using Sandbags to fight from more advantageous positions 2. Using Oorah to get into cover or closer distance where they beat Grens 3. Don't use Molotovs to win infantry engagements unless a. Garrison denial b. Cover denial (i.e. Grens making a B-line for obvious cover) c. It's a support weapon/opponent is obviously not paying attention to squad 4. Just use combined arms in general - if you're trying to use brute force with Cons you're setting yourself up for failure they are better used meatshields with utility In: COH2 Balance
