An animation or something like thatjust to "buff" the units isn't needed imho, but rebalancing some stats (like scatter and such). What would it be of static weapons then? Would they stop firing a HMG just to breakdance their way out of a mortar barrage?
Those and many more are the reasons I left CoH2 (except for Theatre of War with friends).

1v1 is not fun at all to me, I'd rather play 1v1 in Warcraft 3 or Age of Empires 2 than on this game, it's simply boring. All this applies to 3v3 and 4v4.
When I first began, I only played allies and it was horrible. Then I played as axis and it was so stupidly easy.
I simply grew tired of the fact that, as an ally (because I like them more), I have to learn to play way much better than the enemy team, who have to spam Volks with panzershreck to counter vehicle plays, pzwerfer to counter pretty much anything, indestructible Panther (let's not talk about its veterancy), etc etc etc.
Relic has proven that they cannot, will not and do not know how to balance a RTS, be it because of asymmetrical balance or whatsoever. I just wish I could get the 80+$ I spent on this crap.
I'm sorry if this is somewhat vague, but today playing General Mud (4v4), after several airstrikes and artillery on the middle vp (I can remember seeing a Stuka's creeping barrage and P47 strafe runs from USF), that thing showed up and never disappeared until the end of the match.
AchtAchter, try rolling over the pshreck soldier while the other 5 squads shoot their respective pshrecks at your poor Sherman/T34/Cromwell. You also know that massing zooks costs a lot and drains a lot of your troops AI capacity? Oh, and because of their pshrecks they can also vet up really fast, which is bothersome specially against a unit that has 5 vet levels and can self heal out of combat being mainline infantry.
And about Riflemen and Volks. Riflemen need BARs/M1919s, and that's why some people suggest Volks should also have an AI upgrade such as a 2xSTG package.
Also, cons are cheap because they need PPSHs or vet3, else they're shit.
We, the worst players of the game (4000+), really need this asap man, 80% of the matches my teammates quit if they lose a damn tank, it's just frustrating :'(

you completely miscounting the number of shots fired (seems unlikely)
I re-checked and found I was somewhat wrong.
2cm flak fires an average of 18 shots, because each one manages to shoot three shells twice before the plane gets off their range. But I found that it sometimes shoots 4 shots and then 2, 3 shots then 4, 2 shots then 3, and so on. Probably RNG but all my tests (didn't really count, they were like 8-10) had more 4 burst shots rather 2 burst shots. Oh and the Schwerer HQ fires 6 shells in 2 bursts (3-3, 2-4, 4-2) before it reloads.
