Thread: Why has Relic given up on Modding?13 Dec 2018, 14:23 PM I think the primary reason is to protect his product. My personal opinion about this matter is, Relic dont know how to work with modders like other games. I am sure if some smart in the company find a way, all of us will be benefit by a full mod support. Most of the modders like me not persuit money, we do this for the love of the game and WW2. We spend endless hours behind the tool just for the fun to do it. I never lose the hope, and I will continue my modding work, waiting for the time we could have a better tool. But you are close to finish your recrew ability. Be persistant and you will achive your goal. British Paratroopers: About your paratrooper ability for british, try to check a vanilla ability. Here an easy one to copy: abilities\aef\modal_ability\dispatch_ability\paratroopers_paradrop The ability do an airstrike action and point to the follow elements: sbps\races\aef\vehicles\paradrop_plane\paratroopers_plane_paras ebps\races\aef\vehicles\paradrop_plane\paratroopers_plane_paras In the flight ext of the ebps file you will find in the action ext, a paradroop action. The paradroop action spawn a squad: sbps\races\aef\soldiers\paratrooper_squad\paratrooper_squad_mp Just change this squad for your own one and put the ability whatever you need and it is all. Just keep in mind one big problem, the parachute animation only works properly with a few entities. Thread: How to change faction starting unit8 Apr 2018, 21:01 PM Hi Stardash, change the starting unit is not a big deal: a. You need to clone first the armies b. You need to have your start unit sbps & ebps c. And then you need to select the sbps of your unit in the: "starting building/starting squad" like you see in the picture. Also I recomend to watch some good tutorials made by Eliw00d.
