Damn it guys, that was my very first meme .
P.S. the anonymous admin would do a better job by actually stating he is removing content instead of leaving it like this.

The past few weeks I have been trying to pinpoint why this game seems so...lacking.
Beta, so much fun. Winning games with both sides was interesting EVERY game. Pity those glory days didn't last.
Forward, people start complaining. Fair enough, some kinks to iron out.
More complaining. No way! The game is great, what we need is moar GUNS, TANKS, UNITS!!!!
MAPS!
Panther is SOOO OP. SU IS OP!!
Flamers!
T34 useless? Germans, no way t34 is OP man! so cheap. Soviets, but it sucks, armour is shite!
Grenadier vs conscript analysis, Soviets can never win!
Soviet patch. SOVIETS OP!
MAPS!
New german units. GERMAN OP! Pay 2 win, ftw.
MAPS!
More patch, useless patch, oh now my shit doesn't do xx damage, fck this!
Amongst the din of OP this and OP that, I started to notice a pattern.
I refused to see it though, call it ignorance, what you will, I believed that the game would come good.
I am starting to doubt my optimism.
The problem is not the community, not maps, not OP units, not new units, not pay to win.
The problem, imo, is this game never seemed to have had a clear development process.
This game is like a tree in the wind. The devs seem to bend to whomever has the loudest and most annoying voices.
Appeasement. Never. Works.
Please make a plan and stick to it.
I would challenge the dev's to provide a plan for improvements and make it transparent.
Cheers.

So, I guess to sum all this up and bring it back 'round, I wanted to ask y'all if you think it's even worth sticking with and continuing to learn COH2, or if it's just not worth the effort of investing the time... ?
Seeing as you already have doubt about sticking to this game, you should apply the golden rule; when in doubt, don't. Go and find yourself a game you actually enjoy playing. |
cavalry unit will dismount before entering combat zone if you know
...whereupon the horses are eaten by the pak crew . |
Combining several existing features into a "new" product is something that is not entirely new to Relic...
Still, I wonder if there will be anything left that would qualify as a standard Ostheer build, as all these kind of suggestions are yet another "additional unit" as part of an "additional general". Balancing even more generals would be virtually impossible, unless these call-ins provide no game changing abilities, which would make them redundant.
It is hard enough to make some of the current units work in the game, let alone figure out how to fit a new unit into any given playstyle. |
Aren't the most vocal, influential community members primarily competitive players who, like myself, are not thrilled about a lobby with the likes of Itchaikovsky, Theenglishcommando etc.? |
No. |
You could hit caps lock on your keyboard and start shouting at the developers to make them change things quick.
Oh wait, you have already done that. |
I have never heard from anyone that Relic actually replied with any kind of action to an email send to info@relic.com or enforcement@relic.com. |
If these Commanders had been included in Case Blue, I'd have bought Case Blue, even though IGAF about single player. Largely to support Relic.
I wont buy them as separate content pieces.
Id feel dirty for going "P2W", and buying an advantage my opponents wont have. I can stomach the shuffle commanders as DLC, but not these ones with content on them completely unavailable to those who havent bought that P2W.
No need to feel dirty. Remember, you dont play the game, so you have no opponents in the game. Your true opponents are on this forum. As for me....I am your biggest fan. |
