As others have mentioned, Conscripts are getting a buff to their durability in the tunic pack that will hopefully make its way into the live patch, when it hits.
They're low cost to reinforce, Oorah makes them exceptional flankers, and their mid-close DPS is half decent when they're focusing fire. The PPSH upgrade they're getting combined with said durability buff should make them pretty solid infantry with those commanders that feature it.
Otherwise, I think they're still going to be in an alright place. They were, from what I can see, always meant to be a more durable unit with ho-hum offensive ability but decent utility and flanking potential. Increasing that toughness should only further reinforce that.
Having said all that, I'd second or third the notion that the PPSH upgrade ought to be stock with teching T3 while the commanders that now feature it could have access to a DP-28. That'd be fantastic. |
@Katitof - is there a particular moment in time or a particular post or a quote you can reference that might justify the petulant way you seem to respond to everything Alexzandvar says?
Full disclosure, I nine times out of ten agree with what you argue and nine times out of ten disagree with Alexzandvar, but almost every encounter between the two of you from everything I read starts with him commenting on a post, followed by you spewing your vitriolic word vomit all over his comments.
If it's a fight he started by being malicious and you're just giving it back relentlessly because he has it coming, I get that and I'd do the same. If you had a girlfriend and he took her away and the ONLY way you can reclaim a sense of self-worth is to berate him time and time again here, well, fuck, I'd understand that and sympathize to boot.
Otherwise, frankly speaking, you're being a toxic piece of shit and constantly twisting what might be otherwise civil, even constructive discussions into bitter back and forths that really aren't serving any legit purpose other than to make people peek in, see the community is still a giant fucking tumor, and peek back out. |

Axis fanboy makes post lolling at the ease of use of other factions compared to his favorite only to see everyone insist his favorite faction is the easiest |
The trouble with CAS, in my humble opinion, is that it's an (THE) air power centric commander that is virtually immune to anti-air units. You have a second or two to react to where the ability is going to hit and that's that.
It should be reworked so the AA halftrack and Bofors present a major threat to CAS. The Allied player will work hard to defend his AA unit while the Axis will try their damnedest to destroy it to let the Luftwaffe run amok. |
Conscripts are actually my favorite unit in the game. Low cost, low reinforcement cost, OORAH makes them effective at rushing armor and swarming AT nades or flanking team weapons and popping molotovs.
Individually, they don't have a whole lot of damage output or durability late game, but if you move them as a group (3 Conscript squads roaming together), especially when they pick up some veterancy, they dish out some solid DPS at close to mid range when focusing fire.
They have relatively low MP bleed - the trick to Conscripts is to use them aggressively, let them take losses, but don't let them get wiped. |
su 76 is even worse than t3476. No point of using them both
The SU76 is actually good though. It has great pen, barrage is useful in a pinch, and it cost less than the T34/76. It is a better unit. There's no point in using them both because there's no point in using the T34/76 at all because the SU76 actually, y'know, does stuff. |
Honestly, the only reason to build a T34/76 at this point is for late game ramming on super-heavies like the King Tiger and Jagdtiger. The SU76 and SU85 are significantly better for anti-armor while the M5 Quad and T70 are more effective dedicated anti-infantry punch. The T34/76 is mediocre at both, unless you consider its crushing power, which is so-so at best, given how little health the unit has.
I guess in that sense, building a pack of 3 T34/76s that you're going to go hyper-aggressive with on crushing and ramming can be effective, but it's such a gamble at that point, I feel like you're better off saving the fuel for something more specialized and worthwhile.
It's a "jack of all trades" unit by design and a "I suck at literally everything" (given its timing) unit in execution.
I actually miss pushing a fast T3 to get a T34/76 out. There usually wasn't a fuck ton of AT on the field and it gave you time to pick up some veterancy with it so it could actually be effective - at vet 3, its mobility and rate of fire are pretty spectacular.
Now with its low cost and very, very late timing for its performance, it's basically a "why the fuck not" unit. No one is ever going to build a T34/76 when they're back-against-the-wall on the brink of losing. They should've buffed the T34's performance and increased the cost rather than keep it where it was (where it was arguably already underperforming) and simply nerfing the cost. I'd rather have a unit that could actually fucking PERFORM for 120 fuel or so.
RIP T34/76. |
When you're inside a building, does your voice reverberate and echo too?
As a previous poster explained - y'know, acoustics.
It also makes practical sense in a game, since when a garrisoned squad is calling out "grenade!" you'll know it's the squad in the building that needs to dive because of the echo. |
Echoes in buildings isn't a bug - it was a change, and it's a good one. Why the hell would anyone think it was a bug? Doesn't it just make sense that their voices would echo in a building? |
