I watched the replay, you played well. Obviously it doesn't help to point out mistakes that are simply hindsight, like small micro errors or whatever. I don't think infantry company was the best choice, you really don't ever want a priest over a calliope. The strafing run would have been quite helpful against his blobs with Sturmofficer support. The mortar halftrack didn't do much. It only had a handful of kills, most of the XP it got was from damaging units in structures without actually inflicting any bleed. He had his Med HQ pretty far up so having to go back to heal didn't really slow him down much. The 25muni HE round ability it has is just a muni sink, it hardly does anything because it's really inaccurate.

Also, while I understand why you put that mine down at the start, it's a pretty big risk seeing as how you constantly have units moving over it. Maybe place it a bit further away from the choke point.

He basically won because his infantry could retreat and get back into the fight much faster than yours could. He would constantly have like 4 squads with Sturm officer support vs 2-3 of your squads, as your others were busy healing all the way back at base. I'm sure you know enough about the game and general military tactics to understand why this is a huge problem.

He had no ind fire, would have maybe been better to get major sooner and make a forward retreat point with ambulance, which heals faster than OKW HQ.

It seems like a lot of people think OKW is better than ost. The only thing they have that I'd want as ost is a forward retreat point. Well, I'd rather forward retreat point were removed entirely, but if that isn't an option then at least provide the possibility to each faction. It really can be an unfair advantage on certain maps, especially in 1v1 but also to some extent in 2v2. It makes a retreat more forgiving for some factions than others.

This makes me laugh cause only people I see using him throw him in a massive fusilier blob and try to abuse the on-the-move accuracy of the G43 coupled with the aura buff. This of course fails when you kill the officer and everything retreats, but always leaves me shaking my head anyway. The officer is actually pretty useful if carefully placed, he does not need a buff.

Read carefully and you'll see that I was saying that grens need better early game performance. Until they have lmg they just suck, and even then they need vet 2 to be able to hold back riflemen. IMO vet 3 riflemen wit 2x bar or 2x 1919 lmg are better than vet 3 grens with mg42

Honestly I think that in order to ever introduce the Japanese, it would have to be as a stand-alone expansion or different game entirely, and come with a new usmc faction in order for it to be balanced.
