Ok...than we should talk about jumb-out.crews which can repair their own tanks, 6 models crews, emplacments, and so on...which help alot the faction which such unquis (expect ost...they have NO ADVANTAGE UNIQUE)
Not an issue at all pal, thats what a forum is for!
Ok...salvage is OP...but destroying the TW with handheld AT or At gun/ tanks..is not..right? (only for the understanding)
Its the fact mainline infantry have the ability, that it is done quickly, is 100% guaranteed unless the squad gets killed, that it takes the same amount of time no matter how many models and that it allows squads to eliminate a TW without having to sacrifice firepower or man power for the privilage.
I've linked this video several times and I will as it is a good indication of how bad RNG can be at killing TW's:
If you kill it with handheld AT weapons you have invested muni into that squad, if you kill it with tanks or AT guns you are risking losing that vehicle or TW. To simply use mainline infantry to remove 260-320mp from the game for free, is just silly, they should have to destroy the TW and THEN salvage it.
As people keep saying "Its better to just steal it than salvage it" then it shouldnt be an issue to remove the ability to salvage functional TW's.
And there is little reason for IS to be able to built heavy cover in first place.
Part of the reason why IS are hard to balance is that every engagement vs IS was in a crucial area of the map vs heavy after which IS could simply heal up again. Without sandbags available to them they would have to use the cover available in the map as other mainline infatry.
UKF are already gimped by being unable to wire off until tech up, removing sandbags from them would render maps that have no cover especially on important areas an immediate veto for a faction that revolves around cover.
You want to solve this "issue", make it unable to have green cover created inside capture areas, instead being able to upgrade the capure area with defences for a cost, that way, you lose it, you give dences to the enemy.
Strategically how is it different from "A" attacking a support weapon vs salvage?
Other than resource gain it is quicker, easier and availible on mainline infantry with no upgrades or cost (obviously) from pure stat differences, salvage is 100% going to remove the weapon in 11 seconds whereas firing an AT gun at it from even close range can miss.
What does attack moving a TW immediately after you recrew it have to do with salvaging? If there’s a big engagement happening between 5-8 units on each side and you decrew an MG/AT gun, all you can do is attack move it with your AT to deny your opponent recrewing it. You can’t salvage in the middle of a giant firefight and if there’s no firefight you can just steal it.
1) It’s way easier and more profitable to steal the TW.
2) There are other faction benefits to UKF/USF (weapons racks/Base arty/Major etc) that counter the okw benefit (salvage) in assymetric balance so strictly saying “if usf can’t salvage then okw shouldn’t” is a bad argument.
3) Plenty of ideas for a potential change have been tossed around, such as increasing the time required to salvage at the trade off of slightly higher resource gain.
4) Latch has made plenty of dumb threads in the past screaming about nonexistent issues and how unfair the game is to him (ex Vickers suppression and Panzerfusiliers), so people tend not to give him the benefit of the doubt.
5) Trying to roast everyone and assert that salvaging TWs is a huge issue is not constructive, not beneficial and not really true either since you didn’t prove that it’s an issue with your experience/logic/etc. Either give your own experience, your own reasoning with logic, your own solution or your own take from a 1v1 perspective. But please don’t try to moderate, there are others here that do that.
1. You can steal back the TW if OKW steal it, you cant if they salvage it, its easier to salvage it, evidented here, by, oh wow, YOU!
2. It has nothing to do with x has it so Y can't, if it was and that was my issues I would have said that the doctrinal units with the ability should be able to have it. Its the fact it is able to happen.
3. Wouldnt have those changes tossed around without a post on the topic...
4. Vickers supression IS bad:
Pfuzies are broken, mainly g43's + snares that ignores the factions limits and gets extra range. Just because YOU dont like my posts doesnt mean they are "dumb".
5. He did, he said he smokes and salvages the weapons, and its cheesy.
Your videos are three enemy squads ambushing your low health squad running across a red cover retreat path and you somehow extrapolating that into "opponent's thing is OP". The only things your videos proved were that you were terrible.
"Just take my word for it" is actually more effective/reasonable than the videos you provided.
I believe G43s moving acc needs to be seriously toned down, but your videos were so bad that they pointed everyone in the opposite direction.
Yup, all of them mate, 100% of my videos show a 5 second clip that you can nitpick on and claim that because of X then its fine. If you don't like me (to which, I honestly cound give a flying fuck) which seems clear, message me this, dont derail a seperate thread because you are obsessed with me and part of a video I upladed a while ago.
did u know that you can destroy the team weapon as allie and have the same effect? you even get exp! use all your AT handheld option (it is even faster when you have several squads with AT)
oh comon...there is other stuff which should get some attention:
- spamable repair center from allies
- ISU have same range like jagdtiger...but has more mobilty, AA, great AI and very good AT ..must "deal" with low penetration nondoc TD > should have less range when in AT mode
