Thread: Regarding 1.2 and KT/IS224 Feb 2020, 18:07 PM Believe it or not heavy tanks punish individual squads more than blobs since they have massive AOE and very little scatter allowing them to chase infantry squads down and wipe them. Agree with blackdream that its odd the Pershing is receiving absolutely nothing in 1.2 considering its probably the strongest anti-infantry tank in the entire game, plus vet and Combined Arms can make it even more devastating. Thread: Panzer Tactician To CP524 Feb 2020, 00:30 AM I would make it a call-in again and keep it at CP 5 but remove Panzer Tactician from the commander and replace it with Smoke Bombs from German Mechanized. Right it comes out a touch too slow because you need 5 CP's and you have to build it. I don't know if it should be limited to 1 like the Valentine though because the Valentine is actually good against all targets while the Puma is an anti-vehicle specialist. T-70 should have a window but it shouldn't be 3+ minutes every game, especially considering how strong it is against infantry and how it scales into the late game with the extra vision and potent vet that allows it to still wipe vetted infantry pretty consistently. Ideally, the Puma should be a comeback tool if you've been forced off by light vehicles for awhile, not something that shuts them down outright. Ostheer doesn't really have a reliable tool for that currently. I think it will be huge in making Ostheer a less risky pick in tourneys. Just hope the doctrine doesn't become overly oppressive again when FHT is combined with Panzer Tactician. It's just unfortunate that you have to pick a commander to deal with the T-70 while OKW can just build a Puma at or before the T-70 timing currently. Because Mobile Defense sacrifices your late game in a meta where heavies are going to still be stronger than they were before. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Ostheer Tech Restructure22 Feb 2020, 00:20 AM Unfortunately while the changes to the Puma in 1.2 are in the right direction the Puma still comes at the earliest around about 11 minutes or so, meaning it still is going to come noticeably later than the T-70 which is still going to dominate heavily. Plus the Puma coming this late also doesn't help at all against USF and UKF light vehicles which are still going to have a large window to operate since they come earlier than the T-70 does. Thread: Ostheer Puma changes19 Feb 2020, 17:23 PM I would say the biggest problem with the Command Tank is not that it's necessarily bad as a combat unit but generally by the time you are able to get it, your opponent will generally have something to deal with it by that time. I would say it should be tied to BP2 like the Stug-E and Puma are currently and maybe have a slight mp decrease or maybe reduce it to 6 CP to make it come a bit faster. In: COH2 Balance
