So if Seine River Docks wins, do I get half the prize money? |
RTM = Release to Manufacturer. In other words, it's the copy of the game you guys posess. That's the scar command, but I don't think it'll work (you can try it, but I think it's disabled).
I could be thinking of something else. |
Regarding hotkey binding; there's a command, but it's not available in RTM afaik as it opens up a security hole (players could use it to cheat). |
*Raises hand*
I have a grid notebook at work and one at home I use a lot. It was a habit I did when I made FPS levels and it sort of bled over to RTS |

I only just noticed this today. I will work on porting it to CoH2, though it may take awhile. I'd like to take the opportunity to fix some of the glaring issues like retreat paths, and that'll require gutting a few sections and re-building them. |
Not really, unfortunately - that all happens on the very first frame of the game. Usually when the screen is still black, but occasionally you can see it happen. If it's a single player mission, you can do a delayed fade-in via scar, but for MP I don't think there's a work-around. |
You would need to unpack them first with Corsix Mod Tools or some other appropriate program.
Once that's done, just open them via World Builder - you'll have a ton of missing textures/objects on the map, so you'll need to go through and fix them - as well as probably re-do territory sectors.
Just keep in mind that it's ok to use Relic-made maps to create new maps for the workshop - but if you plan to do that with community-made maps, you need to get permission from the map creator first. |
Yeah, I was actually the one who asked them to try to make that dialogue a bit more user friendly and include some pre-mades so people didn't have to bang their head against the wall messing with the sliders, but I guess it wasn't taken into account.
Been using this tool for 8 years and I still can't make a damn atmosphere that looks decent. |
Well, as the creator of Stalingrad Rail Station, I'm flattered someone decided they would convert it. I always thought it would make for a fun MP map; may download it and give it a go later on. |
Loading the WB at home, I see how you guys have a strange treeview window. At work, we just get a standard windows open dialogue box - may have been someone's intention to make the atmosphere settings more user friendly (they certainly scare me), but backfired a bit. I'll let someone know, but I'm not sure how soon this would be fixed. |
