I would disallow them to to skip any tier and units from each to get t4.
If it would be your, or 50% of the commentators here, choice to make Ost would just be utterly nerfed beyond reckognition. But gladly it isnt, all you guys ever do is try to find units that fuck up your playstyle and cry about it. That goes for both sides axis OR allies. It's just sad, the OP had some good points, tho they dont fit into the current 1v1 situation but he has a point when you look into 3v3+ but since esl declared 1v1 to the kings discipline there is no point to adjust 3v3/4v4 if you fuck up 1v1 balance.

Why should that happen? Then you also need to add 2 extra models for every ostheer infantry unit.
It's way easier to wipe any ostheer infantry unit in comparison to soviet units(excluding partysans) with artillery(even with tanks etc, but that's not the topic now).
This game is not "company of mirrors" or "company of soviets have .75 winrate in 1v1 and ost has .60, so let us just buff soviets more"

Ever saw games between real teams? probably you didnt. This is way more coordination, intensity and everything you could ever have in 1v1.
I refused to comment on this for a long time, because i thought it was irony. But after watching your streams for some hours in the last month (because nobody else is streaming regulary anymore) I guess this was your honest opinion. You saw HelpingHans vs Jove in the recent tourny? THAT was intense. That was coordinated. That was everything that 4v4 lacks. You always forget positioning of your units, you always forget cover and run blind into hmg positions without any flanking. You lose your stukas/catys/you name it for whatever reason because you forget to pull them back after a volley. Do that in 1v1 and the game is basicly over if you dont achieve anything anywhere else. In 3v3/4v4 you just sit back, keep cool and let the arty spam of the others compensate your mistakes. It's stupid and by no means competitive. Ever.

That's in theory.
In practice, the zook's pen is so shit that even against P4 it has trouble penetrating front armor (that's before vet and stacked bulletins). Anything Panther or bigger can safely ignore all but an entire blobful of zooks. Shrecks easily pen all but the very heaviest ally armor (IS-2, Churchill) on the front quite easily. Higher damage means little if you can't actually penetrate and use it.
2 zooks also sink a squad's DPS more than 1 zook or 1 shreck, so a rifle squad with 2 zooks will have mediocre DPS even at vet 3 against infantry. Wouldn't be surprised if vet 5 Volks with shrecks win vs vet 3 rifles with dual zooks.
And zooks are on one allied faction, behind an unlock. Soviets make do with PTRS which is doctrinal and sucks against anything but 222s, and british has the PIATs which you have to actively micro so they hit the broad side of a King Tiger, and even then it's a coin flip. Ostheer gets shrecks on a 340 MP 4 man tier 2 squad in an upgrade that changes their role dramatically, so that's very fine. OKW gets shrecks on their 250 MP 5 man mainline infantry and it's not even locked behind tech so there's no reason not to have every Volk squad with one as soon as you get the muni. It's not a role change, it is a straigth upgrade that allows Volks to be the most versatile infantry in the game, even more than Guards whose entire thing is to be versatile.
Handheld AT weapons are not balanced except by cost, and not very well at that. Perhaps by design, Shrecks are better than allied options in 90% of situations. There's a very good reason shreck blobs are a thing, while PTRS and PIAT blobs are never seen and zook blobs only work against bad players. The panzershreck is uncontestably the king of handheld AT. As such, it should be a specialized weapon with drawbacks. The Ostheer shreck acts like that. The OKW shreck doesn't.

Yeah the nerf was needed, but that nerf we have here is dumb. They simply had to lock Panther, KT, nades, shreks behind a techlockup. Now we wont see any p4's ever again. Panther? Nope. 1v1 and 2v2 stats will be going in usf favor again (.75 atleast), and everybody will say "its fine how it is"
Try to get a Panther in a 1v1 or try to get a panther now vs (for example) Stark as usf. Will. Not. Happen.
The popcap on the other hand is a good fix, i would even go a littlebit further and increase spios to 320 again. (and maybe look into volks k98 dmg, might be too much) |

Last patch USF had a winrate of .75 in 1v1(!) on this site and nobody made a fuzz. Now okw achieved some insane numbers in 2v2-4v4 and everybody loses his mind.
Guys. 1v1 are the games we are looking at when we watch tourneys. Not 4v4 noobfests.
