This site needs rules against thread necromancy.

Go Rules for Everything, so that people don't have to check on anything or think for themselves anymore. It's too hard to handle to have a quick glance at the date. Better then to spam threads or discourage new posts. Complains about posting in old thread holds priority over answering/reacting to most recent post. Go forum.

I'm thinking six, seven. Should call for a bulldozer upgrade like allies in coh1 and it would make the US Sherman today feel even more useful and not just barricade gimmicky/optional. Even though this happens to be allied tank traps, not sure how durable OKW tank traps are, I assume identical stats. Or Heavy demolitions. Or something. Two shots wtf, it barely has to stop in its tracks.

I think tank traps should be feasible gameplay element. I built some with the community commander. It takes ages to build. It takes two shots from a PIV to destroy and then roll past.

Seriously?

1) Atillery is not sexy.

2) Artillery based gameplay is seen as static and camping, hence unpopular.

1) I think it's way fun ("sexy") so I use it even though it's not very effective. The leFH 18 spread outside the circle and the circle is wide enough as it is. No precision shot with the german arty either.

2) I know. But people need to change this attitude because it is 100% scrub mentality. Same thing with blobs which is a more common despised tactic. Only tactics that make someone lose are despicable I noticed. I tried to explain to my friend the other day that he should have no selfimposed honor system about how the game is supposed to be played. There is no unbeatable tactic in this game, so start countering blobs if blobs is what you meet. And what that means is that you have to see what's happening Before it gets out of hand. If it does "get out of hand", it's because that player employed the better tactic and/or was more skilled than you (does anyone ever admit this? Lots of jerks online chose to have a terrible bullshit attitude of calling its own team noobs over giving cred to the opponent). If it requires no skill to blob, then how come you couldn't counter unskilled gameplay? What does that say about your skills? It is NOT an unbeatable tactic. So go blob yourself then. Whatever it takes. If you think "no, I don't wanna play that way" it's like asking the enemy to walk into your cannons the way you want them to. Only scrubs think that way.


I also wanna ask if anyone uses the leFH 18? It can pay off over the course of a game if you have a front that doesn't break, but it does spread like crazy.

I do. Playing as USF is hardly an enjoyable experience. Cool vehicles and interesting concepts, but their vehicles are just too fragile.

I don't think so. I mean, yes, they are fragile but one is supposed to play more of a hit n run type of game with them. Yesterday I played whermacht and a Jackson got abandoned and I rushed to get it because it is so valuable to have a fast mover and heavy hitter like the Jackson is in combination with german tanks like the Tiger which has much more staying power but shorter range and is painfully slow unvetted. I've played difficult games against US where I can't get to them because they outrange me and are faster. If I do get a shot in, it makes big damage though.
