Thanks for your time Cyanara. I will forward the tips to my mate when he got up from sleep and we will try to improve based on your tips.
Personally I like the less burst/ more constant damage from falls a lot more than the "snipes" from Obers. However Obers are somewhat more forgiving when under small arms fire than Falls, that is true and their pricetag is indeed immense for what they actually offer.
again thanks for the time taken, we appreciate it a lot!
We have some constancy problems we rise to rank 2500 at times just to lose so many times in a row we end up at rank 7000.... So I really feel we make some more basic mistakes we maybe mask at certain games but at other games we get caught pretty fast... :/
In any event I seriously need some sleep
good night o/

[!!!ATTENTION!!!] RANK 4500 MATCH. Fallschirms are quite good if kept alive and in green cover. Enjoy! Was a fun round. EDIT: Toolkit = SteinerGER. Thanks for Cyanara for that headsup In: Replays |
Thread: ostheer CAS overperforming.9 Mar 2015, 20:02 PM
Generally speaking: yes. Ostheer is double penalized by it though. Manpower: high reinforcement costs. Squad wipes: 4 man squads really ask for being wiped. Fuel: Most expensive teching and T3 not viable against USF. map control: unlike every other faction OH has to invest MP into T1 building before even able to build grenadiers which leads to -1 combat unit being on field to any other faction. This amplifies when being against USF since grenadiers have to have some lucky RNG or cover in their favour as well as the USF player no being a complete troll. In Late Game USF single BAR will win 90% of all 1v1 engagement against similar vetted LMG grens not to speak of double bar'd ones - so actually capping with a lone unit is seriously not viable at all as OH. I generally attack click the dude with the flamer, they generally explode and make a beautiful scene of their squad burning A-click? Like attack move, like kill that unmanned ATgun-click? can you focus fire on a particular model? In: OKW Strategies |

I was writing a big ass text about CAS doctrine but deleted it because I am so tired. But I give you a tl;dr from my initial post: CAS doctrine punishes blobbers hard. all skillplanes can be dodged. working as intended. A commander not shit. gg wp relic gn8 guise In: COH2 Balance |

Let me get that straight. Stuka(100f)+Puma(70f)+Flakht(55f)+tech(0f; due to 40 starting fuel) = 225f So OKW needs 225f for these units in the first 8minutes (you said flak 5-6min,puma and stuka at 8min) Thats 28.125f/min on average - so it needs more fuel later due to having less income naturally at the start of the game. BTW: 28 unadjusted fuel are 42 adjusted fuel. When your opponent gets 42,42 (or OKW 28.125f)/minute you hopelessly fked up the early and can aswell call it gg. As you already said OKW has less map control so its more likely not to happen. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: How to prevent blobs3 Mar 2015, 13:49 PM
Objection! OKW simply has no vehicles to spend their MP on due to the arbitrary resource starving shit and not due to their units being too cheap to reinforce. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: How to prevent blobs3 Mar 2015, 11:46 AM
There is no doubt that blobs can be stopped, the question is if the micro and attention required to do so is really in the correct ratio to the one needed for blobbing(which is close to none). Infact there are plentiful ways to actually stop a blob but most of them require a huge amount of investment for small return. Most notably I want to mention mines. (Apart from the fact I once had single soviet enemy sniper retreating over a SchuMine and it neither killing nor damaging the unit which makes me still mad^^). Mines usually only kill 2 or 3 models of a squad and thats it. There is no supression applied or anything else. Killing 2 Models of a 6xConscript(just for the sake of argument) blob is simply not cutting it. Furthermore mines get disabled by a single pioneer unit. The only reliable, although pricey, solution I currently see are demos. They can be triggered when the enemy is right on them and wreak havoc on unsuspecting enemies or artillery. OKW,USF and OH lack anything of that. Offmap is a possible solution too but especially for OKW its far too pricey and the flares are going to give them away making them a one time story while the enemy is easily able to evade or retreat. You forced them once to retreat but are now out of munitions to call it a second time. Soviets do have a lot more possibilies to deal with blobs, (120mm mortars, Zis/Su's barrage, demos, isu, IS2 or the b4) yet they can get quite a lot overpowered by okw blobs and to a lesser degree gren blobs. The idea of HMGs is correct but they either get smoked and decrewed by pineapples, molotved or simply killed by bar blobs or volks/obers blob. Thing is if you change anything about the units in general to punish blobbing you are punishing those who do not blob even more. to solve the problem the blob itself needs a nerf not the units forming the blob. Let me explain that. Lets say multiple units in green cover get an aura for having a fortified positions like -2% rec accuracy to a maximum of 10 percent per unit. Sounds fine and dandy at first but now lets assume there are 3 units in green cover defending and 4 units attacking. Those 4 units get microed but not for everyone there is cover (unless you want to bunch up - which you should never want) so you have units in yellow cover vs bonused green cover. An attack is now hardly viable and will punish people not blobbing even more than bloberinos. Thats why I think the solution with received accuracy is a nice idea and would make sense in the context of the game. In: COH2 Balance |

I think you are comparing oranges and apples here. First of all Kubelwagen melts in the face of rifle fire and more so if there is a maxim - additionally it isnt such a threat to your units like a WC with its .50cal + riflesquad or the clowncar with flamethrower. Germany (both factions) can not field such a unit as fast. The only thing is the Sd.Kfz.250 which is locked to 4cp (?IIRC). The other ones would be the 222 (a bit more armour but less hp than the kubel) and the luchs. lets say each team hold 50% of the map and gets 26 fuel. OKW gets 17 fuel then. 40f starting = 1. tech + 80 fuel + 50fuel = 130fuel = 8 minutes when there is instant teching (due to the 2 mins on the trucks) and no other fuel spend. The aim for the faust is not to kill the vehicle but to stop cheesy rushes. These are currently a no brainer - especially for SU vs OKW NINJAEDIT:"USF/soviet AT guns isn't locked behind one of teching options (kinda hard to deal with Flak HT and fast Luchs without it)" have you ever tried to counter the USF AA HT? Unless you already have a Puma up, or lure it into mines its slaughtering all OKW has left and right. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Remove Shreck from Volks24 Feb 2015, 12:18 PM
Yes and no, OKW direly needs at least a one time AT weapon to fend of vehicles then. As in the current state puppchen is not an alternative. Please care. USF does get the AV grenade at Vet1. Yet OH and OKW get vehicles out much later than the SOV clownscar or the WC51. A Panzerfaust will not make them obsolete but make the opponent have to use that vehicle a lot more carefully as of current In: COH2 Balance |
