But what does the MG34 have to do with a Jagdtiger or a Sturmtiger?
The Festung Commander is basically useless except for the case you are facing a Pershing-Commander in 1v1 because the Pak43 won't be bothered by indirect fire. The Luftwaffe Commander is solid.
Why is people afraid of MG34 anyway? It's the most meh HMG in game! And what's the connection between JagdTiger, Sturmtiger, Sturm Officer and the Mg34? You lost me on that one.
You don't need Jagdtiger, Sturmtiger or Sturm Officer, right? So you can choose Defensive Doctrine or Luftwaffe and get MG34. Problem solved!
|
Still, I don't understand why OKW MG34 need to be non-doctrinal. You want to use it while still be able to call Jagdtiger, Sturmtiger and Sturm officer?
Otherwise, it's in two of all current OKW doctrines right now(which is 7). Why not choose it? |
It doesn't even really make any sense why Relic decided to make the MG34 doctrinal. There's is absolutely no good reason why OKW's MG is on a commander other than they just wanted to make OKW different.
It does make sense since Relic game is about asymmetrical.
OKW does not have non-doctrinal mg, get over it already.
If OKW get mg, then usf player will want pershing at tier4 to be same with Ostheer Panther.
Soviet player will suggest the same thing with T34/85 and IS-2 to counter King Tiger.
And finally, you get a mess of a game.
tl;dr:Go play Ostheer if you want best mg at tier0. |
After PanzerIV buff, what will happen to T34 and Sherman? Evolving from useless to garbage?
This game is not Axis vs British game, please consider those situation unless you are a fanboy. |
Just because brad says something doesn't make it so. The devs say lots of stuff that is simply nonsense or doesn't fit in with what the game actually is. something something shocks in an m3
Oh well, it's DEVELOPER who say that and you're still being stubborn, then there is no point trying to argue with you.
Thing is, it's hard to know what the point of the ability is if it isn't truck killing. It's so slow to land that barring heavy engine damage everything can get away in time.
I think that it'd be much improved if they'd add some counter-play. Make it reasonably clear where the planes are coming from, then lengthen the timer, and give the OKW player the opportunity to shoot them down. This would still punish brainless turtling, but it would be (1) more fair and (2) create a neat little emergent mission in which the Brit tries to screen out the AA and the OKW tries to get a shoot down.
(This is assuming that Relic won't be reasonable and nerf damage + lower the cost)
If it were before LeiG nerf, then I would agree. But with OKW, losing the truck means losing the whole game. There is no comeback or whatever.
This is far from punishing, this is cheesy. The same as OKW Scavenge Barrage which eradicate USF base with one drop.
The plane can be shot down, but very rare because they are strafe type, not loiter type. |
They never claimed the nerf was to protect buildings?
As others have said, it appears to be intended.
Next time, go search the forum before claiming something.

Sorry, but I think this is completely fake.
First, if somebody access the game file, the ability for custom commander is not the same with current ones. They are DIFFERENT SETS.
Second, chance is there is player who have collected information like me, would recognize the great mistake: Custom commander require 5 abilities, from common, uncommon, rare, epic and 1 RANDOM ability.
Edit: Ah sorry, so it was alpha |
1. No thanks, I don't want World War I game where player fire artillery at each other defensive line.
2. No thanks, auto barrage is fine since Dawn of War. Adjustment is required but not remove auto barrage.
3. Partly agree. I think all weapon should be like coh1: good at short and weaker at long, no matter which weapon is. Several adjustment is required.
4. No thanks, strafe is worse than loiter, since Anti-Air cannot counter strafe at all. CAS Doctrine is a great example.
5. No thanks, abandon is great feature. It's just implemented badly. Maybe increase abandon critical to 25% or require half of vehicle cost to "refuel" abandon vehicle like the mission in USF campaign. |
It is the same with Tiger or any other heavy vehicle. This is not even a bug at all.
If you can make Pershing abandon in middle of match that easily, go ahead and try it. |
Many people try to use "historical inaccurate" to defend their argument, which is poor and non-constructive.
Remember that all units in this game has participated battle at least one.
However, this is not simulation game, but rather, arcade game about WW2. Lots of RTS are Arcade Game, and not Simulation: C&C, SC, BR, Blitzkrieg, and more.
So I rather not see the argument "historical inaccurate" when it comes to balance or gameplay. But this game campaign is another matter. |
