Thread: Xbox One Reveal22 May 2013, 18:11 PM From what I gathered from this announcement, the Xbox One appears to be one big, bloated mess of really bad ideas mashed together. Something we can see from the fact that Microsoft's PR-department is in full damage control-mode right now. If there are going to be this many problems with online requirements and lending games to friends, I'm not touching that thing with a ten foot pole. Other bad ideas include the multi-core processor(which Sony ditched in the PS4 for a reason) and no backwards compatibility(a direct result of the former bad decision though). gaming is dying... Yeah, people have been saying that since the mid-eighties and were totally right even back then. In: Other Games

If it wasn't for my utter incompetence at Arc Systems-fighters I'd be all over that thing. Then again, I haven't tried BlazBlue or Persona, both of which supposedly have some of the best tutorials out there, so maybe I could learn them. In: Other Games

The data is not very well presented, but it is ESA, which makes it a somewhat credible source if nothing else. He's also apparently considered top five atm by the american top players, along with Superman, Batman, Aquaman and Killer Frost. In: Other Games
Thread: Fighting Games6 May 2013, 09:38 AM Talking about CoH and RNG, I still think the game would retain roughly the same feeling, yet get less frustrating, if they implemented pseudo-RNG rather than true RNG. That being said, as much as I hate RNG, several of my favorite games(XCOM, CoH, Fire Emblem, Heroes, ++) involve heavy RNG elements. However, what defines a good player in these games are often how good you are at avoiding dice roll situations entirely. XCOM is a prime example of this; the RNG in that game is so horribly implemented that it's not even funny, but if you're smart enough you'll very rarely be in a situation where you have to roll the dice. Also, certain fighting games have RNG elements in them as well, Street Fighter 2 and Super Smash Brothers in particular. OT: So I think my main in Injustice will be Black Adam. He looks cool, has a divekick, a sick cross-up and some goddamn good frame trap/mix up setups if his trait is used correctly, and even if those traps/setups miss the opponent will take quite a bit of chip damage just from his trait.
