Most require a commander
I'm sorry your required to take a commander in a game based around commanders.
Demos, 120mm, Scotts, Sherman HE, any medium tank crush, ISU, IS2 and so on are way too good on countering single squads but not effective against "blobs" (deathballs are easy).
Mobile and static artillery are the only real blob deterrents.
While i don't want the ol KV8, i fear more a Sherman with HE than this pitty thing. Gone are his old days of glory.
Flamers are not good against blobs, since the splash damage is almost negligible.
Considering single squads are what make up blobs all those weapons remain effective counters. And with the flamers thing, it's about having the inevitable critical mass of them.
But yeah it sucks that there isn't a lot more mobile and static artillery in the game, OKW and Ostheer could at least use some more options. The 105 howitzer is pathetic. |
explain
Demos, 120mm mortar, 152 Howitzer, Scott, Priest, Sherman HE shells, T34 crush, ISU HE Shells, KV-8, Katyusha, various call ins, IS2, cheap and plentiful flamethrowers,
Oh and the games only super heavy artillery piece
Who said anything about Allies? Rifle blobs are just as bad as Volks/Obers. The reason you have Volks/Obers blobs is that there's not really much else you can build as OKW
Yep. Also shock/con blobs are fun times since they can't even approach them with a tank that isn't a Panther or Tiger. |
I love how Allies have the best blob counters in the game and people still whine about Volks/Obers blobs.
Meanwhile OKW has 1 indirect fire unit worth a damn you have to be deaf blind to get hit by and Ostheer has no regular artillery bigger than a mortar worth a damn and you need to literally stick the Panzerwerfer up your opponents ass in order to hit anything.
Here is a unit that has to be right in front of the enemy to hit anything, and is so fragile it dies in 1 hit from anything bigger than a rifle. Oh and we put it in the most expensive tier in the game.
T-t-thanks Relic |
Dude, plz stop posting bullshit.
Tiger: Armor 300/180 --- Pen 220/200/180 --- RoF 5.25
KV1: Armor 270/165 --- Pen 120/100/80 --- RoF 5.75
There are 3 commanders with Tigers (not counting TA)
Assault support: Bombing strike
Spearhead: Bombing strike + Recon run
Lighting: if you don't have any other target, CAS will destroy any support weapon.
I already apologized for posting the wrong KV1 stats, but your insistence any of those doctrines counter B4 when they literally do the opposite is adorable.
Please, PLEASE decrew my B4's |
Stop comparing B4 to like everything my God, players don't always pick this doctrine every single game.
The B4 is just the most creative way to deal with Axis armor, there are several commanders with T34/85s which do the job just fine, and the IS2 Shock Rifle Commander is the best Soviet commander in the game.
When you have so many options for killing a Tiger in some of the best Soviet doctrines, how is it any way honest to say Tiger's are hard to deal with. And if your playing USF just get a Jackson and an AT gun or two. Or just get 2 Jacksons because it's not like you need armor to deal with Ostheer infantry while rifles exist. |
Having problem with Jackson? The solution is one-click away: call in a Puma
You know how badly a USF player would have to fuck up to lose a Jackson to a Puma? Not to mention it's a fracking TD so you should always be supporting it. The Puma is a armored car for christs sake. |
Need MOAR heavies, yea this should solve the problem with Osth. Are my sarcasm on point or not on your level yet lol?
To bad the only Ostheer heavy tank in the game is worse than the Soviet (with the exeption of the KV1) one despite costing the same
The Jadgpanther is only marginally more heavy than the Regular Panther, and has no turret. If the Panther can exist why can't it's much cooler cousin. |
Oh yea? you should upload a pro level replay of yours first before giving tips.
Tiger Health: 1040.0
B4 hit with no modifier: 640 damage
B4 hit with For Mother Russia: 960
B4 hit with vet 3 and For Mother Russia: 1440
B4 hit with all of the above and mark target: |
No, they are not.
You're looking at single player campaign unit.
http://www.coh2-stats.com/vehicles/kv-1_commander_mp
This is multiplayer KV-1.
Also, feel free to post all the replays where KV-1 beats tigers according to you and last but not least, last time I've checked the tanks had guns mounted on them, so how about you compare these too?
On a related note, do you also believe Stuart outclasses P4?
Because that is pretty much the relation of KV-1 to tiger.
I clicked on the wrong KV-1 then, but no a Stuart doesn't outclass a P4 as neither are in the same tank class ever. The KV1 and Tiger are both heavy tanks, the Tiger only slightly beating out the KV1 in every way but speed/reload time but at a high cost.
But I refuse to believe you have played this game as long as you have and not seen a Tiger die to a KV1 or two, while a rare occurrence, the much more often thing is that the KV1 tanks the damage (pun intended obviously) and then when the Tiger moves back to repair it gets turned into a smear because it got hit by the most powerful artillery piece in the game for the sin of standing still for a few seconds. |
Every tank that isn't a IS2 or Jackson is pretty useless in the face of King Tiger/Panther, even the mighty Sherman/T34 is reduced a whimpering kitten with shear amount of damage they take. So Axis can have high damaging tanks to shut down almost all medium tanks but USF cant?
You do realize that A. Axis have very little in the way of medium tanks and B. Every single one is just a waste of space taking up popcap the minute the first Jackson hits the field?
And the Panther isn't any more high damage than any other TD, and if your supporting your tanks like you should he shouldn't be able to chase you down and kill you. The KT does a fuckload of damage because it's a bloody KT, and you can still easily kill it with just two mediums or a few AT guns if it hits a mine.
If I had viable mid game medium tanks to build I, and most other players would do it, to bad Axis doesn't fucking have any.
gonna agree with Alexzandvar on this one even as a USF faction warrior. Jackson is in a really weird place. What you have is basically a tier 4 vehicle in Tier 3(since USF doesnt even have a T4) that hardcounters and bouderline shuts down all T3 armor yet struggle with T4 and Super call in vehicles as USF only real vehicle based counter to them(since mines are hit and miss and AT guns get evaporated by 88s)and even then its hit and miss thanks to amount of RNG
buff it anymore and OST T3 namely still gets crapped on yet nerf it and USF lategame gets even more screwed vs heavy armor. I dont really see how this can be fixed without any major game redesigns.....
Reducing it's damage and increasing it's ROF would make it better against heavy tanks while giving mediums some more breathing room. There is a way to fix it that doesn't shit all over USF and Ostheer.
