Brace nerfed next patch with less than 2 weeks of brits release (it's a RTS game, you don't even have time to find counters. Totally lack of purpose). It was actually nerfed just like this in Alpha for a reason, the change just didn't make it into live. There is zero reason for it to have no cooldown because it makes it to easy to camp. Btw i can't believe somebody complaining about an ability to an emplacement that costs 400 mp (in the most mp starved faction) Brits are MP starved if you spam IS, if you don't spam IS they have just as much MP as any other faction. Once the Ost sniper is fixed they wont have nearly as much MP problems. I'll give you a tip: le.IG 18 next to Flak HT, bye bye mortar pits. That's kind of the issue, because of Brace cheap indirect like support guns and mortars do way more damage to emplacements than actual artillery does due to cooldowns. This change is fine. PS: Engies repairing mortar pit while being shoted by any type of artillery (mortar or IG 18) die in 2s. All units that repair get an incoming damage modifier. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Bofors needs a nerf against infantry7 Sep 2015, 09:20 AM Okay, to start Brace reduces all incoming damage by multiplying it by .75 and it gives the emplacement +5 more armor (they all have 5 standard). This technically makes them more durable against flames but since flames do retardly high DoT damage (which is being fixed next patch) atm they can get past it. Saying not being able to handle the Bofors (they are nerfing it for a reason) is a L2P issue is insanely arrogant and saying the Schwer is at all on the same level is missing the point. To be specific, if you stack 3 of them you can crank the frontal armor up to 270 (only 10 less than that of a Churchill) resulting in a huge jump in performance of your PIV's in the form of all AT sources being 10% less likely to penetrate your PIV. The reinforce point does not have a brace function and gets destroyed easily. Did no one read my post? Consider it a trade off for being able to construct multiple forward retreat points with weapon racks non-doctrinally. The reason why Brace needed a nerf in the form of a cool down increase is it promotes campy play. In: COH2 Balance

So the first point isn't a factor, but the rest is still valid. It's hard for a poor accuracy/ROF unit like Volks to accomplish the dishing part of the equation when fighting very high received accuracy units like IS. They also nerfed vet based on received damage to hell a while ago. Doesnt matter, OKW can outproduce brits thanks to thier near unlimited MP. OKW has no special increased MP income modifier. They actually start with less MP than Brits due thanks to having a large MP cost starting squads (320 versus 280). In cover about as strong as grenadiers, out of cover about as strong as osttruppen.(no exaggeration here) This is 100% not true. In cover Tommies beat grens are every range except point blank. Tommies and Rifles give the same exp as squad as they have the same squad cost. Individual Tommie models cost more than individual Rifle models do. It feels like there's this weird imbalance; what are your thoughts? Anyone see the same kinda trend? OP my suggestion is to stop relying on Volks, I don't ever make more than 2 these days. Save your munitions for mines, G43's on Fuss, and grenades. Get an early Rackten to deal with AEC and Wasps/UC. There is very little reason to get Shreks versus UKF as they have no applicability versus the very high health late game British tanks due to the Shreks poor DPS. In: COH2 Gameplay
