Not to mention KT is non doctrinal while IS2/Tigers are.
It also costs 150 fuel more. Do you think that making the KT a call in and chopping 80+40 fuel off it's cost would make OKW more balanced?
For gods sake people listen to yourselves, arrrgh

A unit that costs more should always be better because you have to wait longer to get it and pay MORE for it. This is the entire basis of which every RTS is founded on, the cost of your army shouldn't be twice as more as the opponents and lose just because ~reasons~ if you are playing with equal amounts of skill. The KT is the most expensive tank in the game dude, the Panther for Ostheer is the most expensive Ostheer tank in the game factoring teching costs. Call in meta is stupid, and the fact you want to make OKW like that is just soul breaking because it would make OKW a lot more OP. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Cost has everything to do with it. The KT costs 380 fuel if you count the first HQ as free, that's almost twice the cost of an IS2. Obers are BS, but you seriously need to get out of this Krupp steel "everything about Axis is OP" when most games never drag on long enough for it to be an issue. I wish I could actually play with KT's and Jadgtigers but the game normally never drags on that long. A unit costing more beating a unit that costs less is 100% fine and if you think units that cost less should outperform a unit in the same roll that costs more your insane. Are obers BS? yes. Do we need to nuke all of OKW including the Panther and KT? No. There are things about each faction that make no sense. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Seems like the models spawned slightly inside the tanks model and where abruptly crushed. You can kill an entire OKW army as Ostheer by locking down a Opal truck next to his medic HQ. In: COH2 Bugs |

Wow, things that cost MORE are better than things that cost less? Jesus christ this is the revelation of the century! A Panther which costs 40 fuel more is better? A KT, the most expensive tank in the game, is better than a tank you don't need to tech for? Obers which cost 400 MP are better than units that DON'T take teching and cost lower amounts of MP? Say it ain't so! The Stuka which costs 15 fuel more in a fuel starved faction is better than the Kat? Jeeze man some intense wisdom being laid down in this thread. And lol the Ost mortar being better, I would sacrifice my cat to give Ostheer mortars precision strike. I like how you cannot understand unit costs, like at all. In: COH2 Gameplay |

I rage against stupid comments, I don't care about who an individual is, if he talks bs, then he talks bs. dude stop being so salty, I agree with you. I literally just said that JLI and Paths have different rolls with JLI being better versus smaller squads and Paths being better versus bigger squads. The JLI ability to snipe is RNG based to were the smaller the squad the better it is, and the Path being better versus bigger squads due to having 2 snipers instead of one. In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: I figured out why Obersoldaten are so good14 Mar 2015, 15:52 PM
They are actually called SS Vets in the files I believe, but of course Relic can't name the unit that. Ober's are just supposed to be veterans who have seen basically everything, the most "elite" unit. Not super soldiers. Ubersoldat means "Super Soldiers" Obersoldat just means "Top solider" Kinda the same, but not. Obers are the best of the best, Uber's are genetically enhanced. In: Scrap Yard |

You're dense one. Ironic, considering I just said that 2 posts ago. But of course your raging hate boner for me cannot be stopped. In: COH2 Gameplay |

The function of the instant kill on models lower than 40% health on Pathfinders is different, since with two models able to preform this ability you have a better chance of it happening. The JLI ability in inherently more RNG based with only 1 G43 sniper in the group, but at 80% against smaller squads you have a higher chance of sniping models. JLI versus 4 man squads > better. Pathfinders versus 5-6 men squads > better. In conclusion: JLI preform better hunting small squads behind the lines, Pathfinders are great to keep around your rifle blob because they can wipe low health squads. 2 different units, 2 different types of sniping and utility. Ultimately, not really that comparable, sorry I really even did when I should have taken into account the different unit rolls In: COH2 Gameplay |

Iv never once had JLI and Paths sit in front of each other and have a shoot off at point blank range so obviously what's happening here is a function of the JLI sniping ability since Paths have far better close range DPS. For instance lets look at the DPS comparison graph http://www.coh2-stats.com/compare?utf8=%E2%9C%93&squad1=jaeger_light_infantry_recon_squad_mp&squad2=pathfinder_squad_mp&commit=Compare Paths are better till you hit about range 20, but the DPS tool doesn't take into account sniping, which as stated earlier is a tad tricky because weather your sniper is shooting at low health models is a gamble.
>Excellent scaling behind the lines Do you understand the self contradiction in this statement? A JLI squad isn't going to hit high vet just sitting around behind the enemy lines. For it's vet to start making a big difference it needs to be around for a bit. And it's 80%, but you cannot control what specific model the JLI sniper is shooting at, hence the RNG factor involved. Pathfinders versus JLI is a tricky match up because Path's are only 4 men which makes them more vulnerable to sniping. In: COH2 Gameplay |
