Apparently relic have already forgotten the implications of 2% infantry health bulletins back then and went with extremely weird number of 82hp instead of 80.

Why break the universal formula of 80 hp max for infantry is beyond my comprehension.
Ost sniper is MORE survivable then sov snipers atm in all situations but sniper wars.
The change to 82 health was intentional in order to allow the Ostheer sniper to survive 1 shot from the Soviet sniper. The added reload makes it so if it gets the first shot on the soviet sniper it wins, if the soviet sniper shoots fire then it will win.
It's not really much of an issue compared to say, the rest of the 1 shot squad wipe stuff that happens with Ostheer quite regularly. Gotta remember Ostheer investing a lot of MP into than 1 single man. It's loss is huge. |

Axis blob still owns. Use MGs more for anti-inf instead of anti-tank and let the late game Uber-tanks own the game. Pre-patch, Allies could use infantry to counter the anti-tank infantry blob, now it can't. It gets raped by the up-gunned anti-inf blob, then, of course, the late game Axis tanks just rape anything Allies have.

The PTRS is a lot better in close range now actually, use it like a shot gun and it works wonders. Iv gotten far more consistent kills by being up close then plinking away from far away.
Makes PTRS cons great because you can Oorah! into close range and start killing. |

375 Axis armor is still superior to 375 Allied armor as Axis AT weapons generally have more penetration.
Not really, the only thing better right now is the Pak40 with 10 more pen than the ZiS, and the Jackson blows the other medium TD's out of the water. The super heavy TD's are a lot more attractive now tho.
The Jackson is much better V the KT than the JPIV versus the IS2.

They are fundamentally kinda different. The PTRS does it's damage in spikes were the Volks/Ober combo just has/had quite good DPS and durability.
Your more likely to see the PTRS horde insta wipe a squad, but less likely to see it do a lot of DPS. |
Whats wrong with 375 armor?
The new Jackson has a fairly high chance to penetrate it, and mark target is very in right now thanks to the PTRS buff on the guards commanders.
The KT is a lot slower than the IS2 so getting out of sticky situations and using it in assaults it a lot harder. A speed increase would make the lower armor a bit less of a pain. |
The main problem with MG42 is the RNG of:
1)burst duration
2)cooldown between bursts
Sometimes, the MG starts firing, but because of RNGesus, it stops before if can suppress, if you are even more unlucky they take for ever to fire again. By that time, you either have a frag or a smoke grenade up your ass.
But, with the current changes, they are gonna vet faster. A vet 2 MG42 is a pain in the ass for the enemy.
The MG42's biggest problem is it's fragility. It could fire 120mm shells but if the gunner gets sniped easily then it doesn't matter.
It's been suggested before, just make it so the gunner is always the last crew member to die, that or removed the 25% more received accuracy it gets. |
That actually sounds like a really great idea. Like every faction gets a super heavy when they build all buildings. But then Ostheer should pay for an extra upgrade or something to get it. Like a t-5 upgrade!
Well that's how it worked in DoW2: Retribution. Every faction had a late game super unit.
Really for call in's they just need to be restricted to you fully teching. Which would increase the price and encourage people to make different tanks. KT's before the patch weren't by any standard "common", since you needed to wait quite a long time to get the fuel for one and OKW does need vehicle support especially versus Soviets.
I wouldn't mind a cost decrease to 230 fuel. Or maybe just making the armor 400 instead of 375. |
It wasn't particularly OP before, It can't be spammed because of it's very high cost and the very large amount of population cap it takes up. Losing basically means it's GG for the OKW player when that happens due to the huge investment he has lost.
It should have been changed when all the other call in heavies were reworked, all the heavies should be tied to teching like it is. |
