Well you've also repeatedly said that only "High Level" players are worth looking at for balance because only they have the skill level to make it meaningful
Now you come along saying that a small group of players won't generate enough games to be meaningful.
So what, exactly, do you except to happen?
Things being obviously broken like the PTRS instantly killing crew weapons would be found out a lot quicker with more testers, is what I think his point is. Obvious balance stuff can be figured out by pretty much anyone.
maybe they are releasing one army by one, not in pairs. to release quicker and make transition from 4 factions to whatever number of factions they want in the end more smooth.
i really wish we can see more of eastern front. think ww2 ussr plenty to offer.
Don't tell anyone I told you this, but Brits are not going to be the next faction.
The icon for the next faction looks a little bit like a certain planet, and the Soviets named their operations after planets.
As i said before, change PTRS prioritization at first. On the video shows clearly 8/9 PTRS shots hitting the weapon and not the crew.
11.561 16.802 16.833 LMG34
5.667 8.191 8.169 LMG42
9.371 6.403 3.436 PTRS (coh2stats)
4.992 4.16 1.8304 PTRS (manually done DPS)
6.818 4.231 3.309 Kar Ober
5.203 2.611 1.968 Kar Gren
2.989 1.521 0.734 Mosin Con
4.113 2.234 1.238 Mosin Guard
Note: i doubt of that PTRS dps. While the google spreadsheet is outdated, i verified that stats on the spreadsheet and coh2stats are equal (bar accuracy) and looking manually for the DPS shows that it's:
4.992 4.16 1.8304
Would love to know how DPS is calculated on the coh2stats page.
IF the DPS is the one showed up on coh2stats IMO PTRS DPS should be cut in 40-30-20%. This would make it a slightly better Kar98 Gren rifle. If DPS is what i mentioned, leave it as it is.
Anyway, i think DPS should be the other way round. Higher at longer range, lower at close range (just like pathfinders). Since the PTRS is consider like a sniper rifle right?
My point of bringing up the DPS is the fact that it allows a Con squad to kill a crew weapon very fast compared to an Ober blob or Gren blob. Not that V infantry it is better pure DPS wise.
Still though, the PTRS's burst damage is great as two hits is a dead model and that's not hard to achieve when you have 8+ PTRS's.
But it took em half a minute to destroy that HMG. It was not an instakill like StugE killing AT gun with the first shot, pang and AT gun gone (Did Relic fix that bug?)
Could that be a cover ghosting issue which affected the HMG somehow?
Because the PTRS cons don't always shoot at the gun, and the suppression was affecting their ROF. The PTRS has a fairly long target acquisition time, but once it gets going the DPS it can put out is very good.
The StuG E cannot actually 1 shot AT guns, as it only has 80 damage.
Good point, stolen HMG is much worse than destroyed HMG. Axis fanboys should love cons PTRS, its saving em trouble.
Irony aside, its really uncommon HMG get destroyed by PTRS, maybe axis fanboys are imagine things becouse I have played 6 games today, spammed cons with PTRS and no axis HMG kills so far.
It is literally impossible for the PTRS to miss the weapon the weapon team is crewing, it's not nearly as uncommon as you think it is.
Its not clear what caused the HMG to "die". Maybe it was a bug which has nothing to do with PTRS.
The MG34 has a size of 20, which the PTRS will hit 100% of the time. 4 cons can kill it in 3 seconds due to the very high DPS of the PTRS.
Axis fanboys have hard time to adapt becouse they are used to a-moving units and drinking soda with the free hand. Now they have to micro, a-move does not work that well anymore. Cons got a long range combat ability. Its really just a slight long range buff, but its enough for axis fanboys to freak out.
The new PTRS isn't a long range weapon, it's a shot gun basically. Get right in the enemies face and gib them with 40 damage per shot.
