Early game you need support weapons in order to stay in the game and your infantry scale really well. Although Tommies get much better vet than the other factions (which is part of the whole "overwhelming end game" thing). Duel sten vet 3 Tommies were just to play against In: Lobby
Thread: ML-20 152mm Howitzer2 Aug 2015, 20:13 PM Why not reduce the damage of the 152 to 200 and increase the amount of shells fired by it by default and make it's vet 1 ability an artillery flare ability that can give you sight? That way it does less damage and does less squad wipes but is still useful and gives you recon like the other Soviet indirect fire units do. I think the LeFH should just be reduced to 500 MP tbh, rather than trying to put it on the level of the 152. Also make counter-barrage fire more shells or be more accurate. EDIT: My rational is that howitzers should be more about consistent DPS rather than 1 shots. In: COH2 Balance

That's for a different topic. Love aaa , or hate him, it doesn't change the fact that when an allied player techs, he/she will be 1 unit behind Ostheer, who have the same tech level. I think the point of Ostheer having +1 unit is that they rely heavily on support weapons early game to make up for the fact that Grens are quite fragile and can be forced off the field without support. There is an argument to be made that Allies need better weapons to counter support weapon play, but in my experience USF is at a disadvantage in the early game (but well that's just in general because of the stiff USF meta) but Soviets still can pull off strong openings. Pretty much. It's call in meta the doctrine (so essentially the Mech Assault of the new meta) for a couple of reasons: -Due to the delay of Ost T3 the CPIV can often hit before a normal PIV would, also no teching costs! -Puma has old TWP and is very cheap and spammable, when combined with the CPIV it can go toe to toe with enemy tanks -Ostruppen allow for the ability to replace lost squads with vet/upgraded squads to reestablish map control -Smoke is good for obvious reasons -The capture territory ability can help you come back from being pushed off the field. I mean it's annoying as fuck and really huge pain in the ass to deal with but it won't fuck you nearly as hard as it will Ostheer. Never had trouble with quad rush... L2P and anticipate your opponents move. If you are struggling, go doctrinal puma.. win... god damn. I like how the answer to todays meta is "just always go mobile defense every time" lol I guess my replay had a bit of an impact on peoples thinking. In: COH2 Balance

All rockets can hit in ground and deal zero damage for tank, or it can destroy a half of tiger HP. If you want nerf p47 radius, repair this bug and decrease cost. P47's are supposed to be used against heavies, they don't do very well against mediums specifically because it would be OP as hell due to the lower health of medium tanks. Really the only thing about the P47 that bugs me is the fact the rockets do a fuckload of damage to infantry anywhere near the tank. You have bad RNG Jesus The Ostwind and Scout car should not be relied upon for AA, especially against P47 spam. You pretty much HAVE to make a Flaktrack later in the game if your facing an P47 spammer('s). I once got a Flaktrack to vet 5 just by shooting down planes lol. In: COH2 Bugs
