Man, this thread leads me to believe that the only way Fury could have been good, would be if it was about a Tiger crew killing a hundred Shermans. It's like everybody forgot that Tiger I was actually a poorly designed and overall ridiculous tank. |
Will it actually work as an anti-blob tool, though? The way I see it, it'll just get insta-killed by shrecks, probably before it even gets close enough to use the canister shot. |
If Canister Shot gets nerfed (and it probably should be) then the rest of that commander should get some improvements. Recon Support is kinda awful even as it is, and playing Rifle Company and Airborne all the time is getting kinda old. |
Then nerf their early game efficiency, shall we ? They are very strong in the early game and the midgame, and all you guys are crying for, is to make them scale in the lategame, definitely not OP.
AT ALL.
Sure, then all we need to do is buff just about everything about USF late game, and things should be balanced. |
The fact that the Germans have more air power than Americans in a game set in 1944/1945 will never cease to amuse me. |
I would love Relic's version of "Band of Brothers" - including Shermans backing up, desperate to get away, as they're being chased across open ground by a German infantry unit armed with panzerschrecks |
well jack of all trades would imply that it's actually decent at all of those things it does, which it doesnt.
Well, it's equally poor at everything it does, so that counts, right? |
I'm all for this, as long as it comes at the same time as significant nerfs to the Stuka. |
The Volksgrenadiers were professional soldiers, a renaming of existing divisions to economize on personnel.
Not to be overly pedantic, but the Volksgrenadiers were overwhelmingly conscripts, just like almost all troops on all sides of WW2. If you meant "veteran" rather than "professional" then that's more correct, although by 1944 Germany suffered from serious manpower drain, and has lost much of their experienced NCOs in Russia. |
I don't know about the balance angle, I haven't played OKW nearly enough, but the current state of affairs, where you have infantry blobs *chasing tanks* in open terrain, is more than a little silly. |
