Thread: Winter patch Buglist 13 Apr 2020, 05:20 AM UKF medics often don't heal automatically. I end up moving them, toggling auto heal off then on, etc, to get them to heal. You can always get them to heal, but end up spending too much time for something that should be automatic. As in easy is REALLY stupid now and Expert is the same as before ? The difficulty levels seem about the same as they were before the patch. I just tried a couple comp stomps and couldn't duplicate the AI going to one place on the map and just staying there. I have seen Easy AI send units to places on the map and have them camp there, but it did that before the patch also. In: COH2 Bugs

I found my laptop & was thinking to transfer the old files from that so I could at least enjoy my easter... turns out you can not turn off updates for this game. Please please please put a beta version of the pre-patch up. I think if you start Steam in offline mode you can play the old version - just disconnect your internet before starting Steam. And now people complain about a weird UKF AI suddenly? I dont get it. The brit AI in this game always was completely pathetic. Even if it would spam medics it doesnt seem useless to me as it can use these cheap 180mp squads to cap fast around the map Before Cheatmod, I used to try to test units by doing a 4v4 comp stomp and making the AI's even. The UKF AI was never as good as the other AI. I still comp-stomp sometimes but usually don't use UKF. It sometimes attempts to build emplacements near VP's, even if the squad is getting shot at before they start. The infantry battles went okay but mid and late game weren't normally okay. Putting a higher priority on tanks or TD's and a lower priority on emplacements might help. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Dissapearing Enemy U.I10 Apr 2020, 16:18 PM The UI for my own units has been randomly disappearing. It mostly causes a problem when I tell something to retreat by using the hotkey and the command doesn't process, usually costing me the unit. I'm going to try reinstalling. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Poll: USF TD suggestion10 Apr 2020, 07:14 AM It seems like mostly a good set of ideas. I wouldn't tweak the Jackson too much. Also, 480 health would make the Jackson worthless again, as it would die almost instantly in a tank battle in a larger team game. In: COH2 Balance

If you zoom into the picture, you'll see that both Blackdream and his teammate won their side, have both fuels, and two VP's. The other team decides their only chance is to throw it all on one side, and it happened to be Blackdream's side. Their opponents had a normal number of riflemen (3 rifles each). The executive summary is: I played a random against a team. It started out a baby-seal-clubbing, but then they doubled my side. It took about 10-15 minuted to get a Walking-stuka and finish the clubbing. They whined because they weren't happy. I wasn't happy either, so I decided to create a balance thread. I made sarcastic comments about USF player's skill level and micro, since their five units clearly are less taxing to micro than my four, and the fact that I mostly see USF blobs has nothing to do with me playing mostly OKW. There was one interesting comment in the thread. It came from NS Aerafield in Post #63, but nobody took the bait to discuss. In: Lobby

It's certainly much better than the Maxim It's damage is bad but thats not important for an MG... It's only job is to suppress, 34 does that completely fine This. The only things I would add is that the MG34 has a huge arc, especially compared to the Maxim, so one of them replaces two Maxims (roughly). Once there is a lot of yellow cover, the Maxim is really ineffective. I'd gladly trade it for a MG34 when playing Soviets. In: COH2 Balance

Maybe the cost has to lowered to 150muni or sth. It's worse than the Stuka dive bomb, fragmentation bombing run, TOT, and IL2 bombing run, but still has its use - specifically, wiping static arty. It's also better than the 240mm from US, which seems to be mostly about cool sound effects. This is only an issue if everything Axis needs to be clearly better than anything the Allies have. Literally find me one source of US riflemen taking 4-6 shots from a kar98 at point blank and not dying. Literally one source. Shocks, guards, and falls all come at 2cp, so not really. Seems that 6 man paras with weapon upgrades locked behind 3cp would be fine. Better yet, find a source of any tank surviving a direct hit from a 152mm round. Granted, actually hitting with a 152 wasn't that likely as it was more of an artillery piece and not really meant to be accurate. Here's a photo.
