You can build a cheap building if you're being baseraped to prevent yourself losing when you lose all your structures. It's not much, but it's something. Of notable mention is that the M21 mortar halftrack still uses the pre-nerf USF 81mm mortar. Thus, we'll have to possibly clip its autoattack and, potentially, its HE. The M21 and 81mm mortar gained vet at very different rates. The current 81mm is garbage. If you nerf the M21 to match it, it will be worse than useless. You'll be adding a useless ability to a reworked commander. The M21 is harder to vet because it is vulnerable to fausts/paks/diving tanks. It works best against Ost if they go really heavy on weapons teams. If a M21 does reach vet 3, it is really good but I'd bet it doesn't happen that often. If it needs nerfing, then the Ost 81mm mortar needs nerfing also. In: COH2 Balance

However, we don't want to add non-thematic stuff to commanders, just to be allowed to fix them. At some point we thought of giving the commander a B4 or something. How about giving them what the hull down ability should be - a 50%-75% reduction in target size, with no splash damage. Hull down just made tanks much harder to hit, it didn't make them more accurate or help them see or shoot further (if anything the opposite). However, having a lot of misses would, in effect, make Soviet tanks tougher. In: COH2 Balance

Pak40 is the best in the game, especially when it has vet. Realistically, it would be nice if the pupchen shells didn't collide with terrain. I'd gladly trade that for having it be immobile when cloaked. All AT guns should be immobile when cloaked, even the Soviet ones (not that Soviet players use them the same way as OKW). Nothing more infuriating than seeing a tank make it out of a fight with a sliver of health because the pupchen did its special version of attack ground three times in a row. In: COH2 Gameplay
